Majlis Arts and Science College, Puramannur is a self financing Post- Graduate College affiliated to University of Calicut and approved by Govt. The College was established in 1995 and upgraded as a Post- Graduate College in 2001. It started with the goal of imparting quality education to the rural people especially to the backward communities in the district, focusing on the educational and moral

principles. The College is striving to reach out to new heights in its objectives in the extremely competitive and job oriented field by imparting Post-Graduate courses. The 50% of the seats will be filled up on merit according to the University norms and the remaining 50% will be filled up by Management. The 20% of the Management seats are set apart for the poor orphans and destitute. The College is located at Puramannur 1.5 Km from the Valanchery-Perinthalmanna road. The scenic and serene environs of the place are conducive for higher academic activities. The college has well designed, 3 storied building with a plinth area of 4000 sq. Well equipped Physics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Computer and Language Laboratories, Library with a spacious reading hall, clean and green campus and prayer hall cm waiting room for girl students at homely atmosphere are some of the good attributes of the college. The college purses excellence in providing training to develop a sense of professional responsibilities, social cultural and moral awareness and set subtends on the part of leadership.

വളാഞ്ചേരി: പ്രളയത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ 16, 17, 18 തീയതികളിൽ നടത്താനിരുന്ന പുറമണ്ണൂർ മജ്‌ലിസ് കോളേജിന്റെ സിൽവർജൂബിലി ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനപരിപാടികൾ മാറ്റിവെക്കാൻ സംഘാടകസമിതി യോഗം തീരുമാനിച്ചു. മജ്‌ലിസ് വൈസ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് കെ.എസ്.എ തങ്ങൾ അധ്യക്ഷനായി. കോളേജ് മാനേജ്‌മെന്റ് കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാൻ സലീം കുരുവമ്പലം, കെ.കെ.എച്ച്. തങ്ങൾ, ബി. ലംബോധരൻ പിള്ള, ബീരാൻ വെങ്ങാട്, കുഞ്ഞിപ്പ വലിയകുന്ന്, എ. അബ്ദുൾലത്തീഫ്, ജമാൽ അബ്ദുന്നാസർ എന്നിവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of a sad news, but our friend Rashid Rashi (Rashid Puramannur-Navarathna Jewelers Valanchery) (Majlis batch 2001-2004) has passed away. Janazah Namaz and burial will very be held on 10.30 AM tomorrow (Friday 22nd July) at Puramannur Juma Masjid.
