📢 International Webinar @ SIERG and European University - RAK

✨ An International Webinar was conducted on 22-05-2026 in collaboration with SIERG and European University - RAK, following the Memorandum of Understanding 💐(MoU) signed by the E.S Group of institutions under ESSK during the first week of May 2026.

✨ The resource person, Dr. John from SIERG, Switzerland, delivered a two-hour expert session on the topic “From Lecturing to Facilitating: Guiding Inquiry and the Acquisition of Knowledge and Skills in Higher Education.” The session focused on innovative teaching-learning practices, active learning strategies, inquiry-based learning, AI-supported learning, formative assessment, and student engagement methodologies.

✨ Dr. Vaharam, Rector of European University - RAK, Dubai, also addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of transforming higher education through global collaboration and learner-centered pedagogy.

✨ A total of 72 participants from Theivanai Ammal College for Women, E.S Arts and Science College, E.S Polytechnic College, and Theivanai Institute of Business Management participated in the webinar.

✨ The session was highly interactive, informative, and beneficial to the faculty members and participants in understanding modern pedagogical approaches in higher education.

📢 On-Campus Placement Drive

✨ The Placement Cell of Theivanai Ammal College for Women (Autonomous), Villupuram, in association with TVS Training and Services, Chennai, conducted an “On-Campus Placement Drive” on 15.05.2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the College Campus. The drive was led by Mr. Lokesh, HR Recruiter, TVS Training and Services, Chennai.

✨ A total of 40 students participated in the recruitment process. 4 students — Ms. Sakthi (B.Sc CS), Ms. Abitha (BCA), Ms. Infant Abitha (BCA), and Ms. Abitha (M.Sc CS) — were shortlisted for the role of Sales & Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank through TVS Training and Services, Chennai.

📢 Faculty Development Programme

✨ The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Theivanai Ammal College for Women (Autonomous) successfully organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Outcome Based Education: and CO- PO mapping on 12th and 13th May,2026 at the PG Seminar Hall on the college campus.

✨ The resource person presented the concepts of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), highlighting its significance, implementation process, and role in promoting student-centered learning. The presentation focused on measurable learning outcomes and the application of Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy Levels (RBTL) in framing Course Outcomes. The resource person also provided detailed explanations and feedback on Vision, Mission, Graduate Attributes, Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs), Programme Outcomes (POs), Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs), Course Objectives, Course Outcomes (COs), and CO Mappings along with valuable suggestions for improving curriculum alignment and outcome attainment..

✨ The Heads of the Departments were presented their department-wise course outcomes and CO–PO mappings and the resource person offered constructive feedback and recommendations for the effective implementation of OBE practices.

✨ The programme was highly beneficial to Dr. R. Muralidharan, Director, Dr. J. Kalaimathi, Principal, Dr. S. Akila, Director – IQAC, Dr. S. Manimekalai – Dean Academics, along with Heads of Departments and faculty members, who gained valuable insights and strengthened their understanding of Outcome Based Education and CO–PO mapping practices.
