🩸 Blood Donation Camp on the Occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti 🩸

On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, the NMO JNMC Unit organized a Blood Donation Camp under the mentorship of Hon. Vice Chancellor, DMIHER – Dr. Lalit Waghmare and Respected Dean – Dr. Sonali Choudhari, along with the senior mentors of NMO JNMC and NMO Vidarbha Prant.

The event was successfully conducted on 18 February 2026 under the guidance of Dr. Abhishek Joshi (President) and Dr. Ashish Anjankar (Vice President) of the JNMC NMO Unit, in the august presence of senior faculty members Dr. Prasad Deshmukh, Dr. Pravin Gadkari, and Dr. Swarupa Chakole.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with faculty members from JNMC, actively participated as blood donors, making the camp a great success. A total of 51 units of blood were collected, including 11 units of the rare Rh-negative blood group.

The NMC Nodal Centre for Faculty Development at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research, Wardha successfully conducted the ACME (Advanced Course in Medical Education) from 10th to 16th February 2026.

A total of 61 faculty members from 40 medical colleges (out of 62 allocated colleges) across various states of India β€” including Tripura, Imphal (Manipur), West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Shillong, Arunachal Pradesh, and Maharashtra β€” actively participated in the program.

Out of the participants, 31 faculty members successfully completed their educational research projects and presented their e-posters, while 30 new educational research projects are currently taking shape.

The program was highly appreciated by all participants for its academic rigor, collaborative learning environment, and focus on advancing medical education.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha – Department of Biochemistry successfully conducted a dynamic student-led event, β€œBioClues: Every Symptom Tells A Story” on 13th February 2026 for 1st MBBS students.
For 1st MBBS Students on the 13th of February, 2026. 10 Teams of 3 people each participated.
Teams were provided cases 3 days prior to the day of presentation. Over three days they followed the progress of their patients and received updates through Rounds, requested tests by filling out requisition forms and waiting for lab reports from the CCL which was open for them from 8am to 10 am everyday and presented their diagnosis with an emphasis on the biochemical basis and treatment plan in front of a panel of judges. Teams displayed immense commitment and curiosity and were able to arrive at their diagnosis by the end of day 3. A surprise case was also assigned to the audience on the day of the presentations, the diagnosis for which many were able to reach.

The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 51 students competing in the Screening Round. After an intense selection process, five teams, each comprising three students, qualified and showcased their knowledge, teamwork, and competitive spirit in the final rounds.
