Alumni Relations seeks to connect and engage students, alumni friends and well-wishers in a lifelong relationship with BITS Pilani and endeavors to facilitate the student-alum interaction at our campus. We have taken up various initiatives to achieve this healthy interaction of our students and alumni some of which are:

ALUMNI OUTREACH : Under this initiative, we as a team act as a bridge between

the students and alumni spread all over the world and inform them of the various activities taken up by the Alumni Relations. We also aim to arrange for workshops and guest lectures given by any of our alumni and help to keep our alumni connected to the campus. ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIPS: Under this, we endeavor to cater to those alumni who are willing to offer various opportunities to our students so as to help them advance further in terms of their academic capability by offering projects, internships etc. LITERARY & PUBLICITY: Our team also endeavors to collect information about various happenings in the campus ranging from guest lectures to campus festivals and have it published in our newsletters and website. This serves to keep our alumni well informed and updated about the ongoing campus activities and student achievements. CAMPUS RELATIONS: Under the initiative of Campus Relations, our team brings in the coordination between Alumni Relations and the student team of various campuses. We regularly stay in touch with teams in other campuses and keep them updated about our activities. SPONSORSHIP and SCHOLARSHIPS: We also arrange for the Sponsorship and Scholarships offered by any of our alumni and aim to establish a highly formal protocol so as to attain it. Besides inviting the alumni to visit our campus, we encourage the interaction between the alumni and the students of our campus through BITS Embryo. It is a simple online video conferencing session which tries to overcome the barriers of distance and time by promoting guest lectures through state-of-the-art video conferencing technology.

On the 9th and 10th of July, Vice Chancellor Prof. Souvik Bhattacharya and Directors from the Pilani (Prof. Sudhirkumar Barai), Goa (Prof. Suman Kundu) and Dubai (Prof. Srinivasan M.) campuses convened for the Young Entrepreneur/Alumni Meet to interact with distinguished BITS alumni who have left a significant mark in the startup and business world. They were greeted by Associate Dean, Alumni Relations Division of the K. K. Birla Goa
Campus Prof. Veeky Baths.

Issues regarding the startup ecosystem were discussed as part of the meet. There followed a conversation on policies to encourage startup culture across the BITS campuses, and measures to increase student engagement. A fruitful discussion, it will certainly help improve the thriving entrepreneurial culture in BITS and encourage students to risk the startup path.

AlphaSense’s rapid and sustained growth follows the achievement of key revenue and product milestones; notably, annual recurring revenue (ARR) now exceeds $100 million.

Raj Neervannan, a BITS Pilani alumnus who graduated in 1993 with BE in Computer Science along with an MSc in Mathematics, co founded Alpha Sense in 2008. He is currently the CTO of the company.

Deciding the next step in our career paths can be challenging. To free you of the process of self-doubt and unwanted speculation, the Alumni Relations Cell presents the BITS2CONSULTING Talk as a part of our BITS2Talk series. Consulting is a professional demanding, well-compensated career and getting adviced by professional could be very helpful. The speakers for the talk are
1) Mr. Ayush Ahuja currently working as Digital strategy specialist at McKinsey & Company he graduated from BITS-Pilani, Pilani with a dual degree in Msc. Chemistry and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Conflicted between PS-II and Thesis? If you are looking for some guidance, then you’re at the right place! We bring to you a panel discussion on ‘PS-II vs Thesis’.
The panelists are:
1)Vignesh Nanda Kumar who did his PS-II from AI labs before his graduation.
2)Aditya Sinha who completed his thesis at Microsoft.
3)Sarthak Moorjani who did his undergraduate thesis from TIFR, Mumbai. He further did his PS-II at Nutanix, where he currently works as a full time member of the technical staff.
4)Shreyas Nisal who completed his undergraduate thesis at Monash University, Australia.
5) Sanket Gupte who did an on-campus thesis with Dr. Raviprasad Aduri.
