Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Anna M. Señé Mir, from the Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic-UCC). She is a member of MASI, GREAF (Grup de Recerca en Esport i Activitat Física) and CEEAF (Centre d'Estudis en Esport i Activitat Física), and serves as Principal Investigator of the MovIn Lessons project. She is a colleague deeply immersed in physical activity promotion, health, and movement in education.
During her visit, she shared valuable insights into Sport and Physical Activity Research - covering the integration of movement and physical education into primary school curricula, workplace and occupational health interventions, sedentary behaviour and musculoskeletal risk reduction, and formative assessment in teacher training. We also explored the growing role of digital and data-driven tools in health-promotion research, advancements in observational methodology, and updates on observational data analysis software. Additionally, we outlined future international initiatives to be developed between MASI, GREAF, and UVic-UCC.
