From Objects to Stories

During the Self-Made Production module, Product Design students worked with design studio òbelo to explore how graphic design gives voice to physical objects. Guided by studio òbelo, Elisa Testori, and Alfredo Taroni, the class turned Francesco Faccin small-series designs into a collection of editorial booklets and companion posters.

I futuri designer hanno immaginato uno spazio fluido e trasformabile: un ecosistema collaborativo e strategico durante il giorno, che la sera si trasforma in una piattaforma scenografica per eventi immersivi. Un progetto che unisce creatività, massima flessibilità e principi di sostenibilità, traducendo in architettura la visione dinamica dell'azienda.

Il design non si impara solo ascoltando, si deve vivere e toccare con mano. Per questo vogliamo farti respirare l'atmosfera dei nostri laboratori e farti sentire, fin dal primo momento, parte di questa realtà.

Non sarà la solita presentazione, ma un'immersione totale. Ti invitiamo a vivere un vero e proprio giorno da studente in SPD, avrai l'occasione di disegnare, sperimentare e progettare liberamente, mettendo alla prova la tua creatività per capire se è qui che vuoi dare forma al tuo futuro.

What happens when a candle becomes the starting point for a lighting system?

For this project, Product Design students worked with Studio Myaice to explore the candle as a light source, designing a family of lamps around its unique qualities.

The challenge was to understand how light behaves, its intensity, warmth, shadows and atmosphere and translate those observations into a collection of lighting objects.

From a simple flame to a whole family of lamps, the project became an exploration of how light can shape both an object and the space around it.
