What if a fashion store could do more than sell?
For Fashion Translator project, students worked to explore a new role for contemporary retail: one that brings fashion, culture, participation, and community back into the physical space.
The project reimagines the store as an immersive environment where physical, digital, and social experiences intersect: co-creation areas, exhibition spaces, interactive displays, AI-powered styling, and phone-free experiences encourage visitors to engage with fashion through learning, discovery, and shared experiences.
At the heart of Fashion Translator is the idea of transforming subcultures, knowledge, music, and identity into spatial and participatory experiences.
The result is a retail concept designed not only to sell products, but to build emotional connections, collective identity, and a stronger sense of community.
