8th Coronal Loops Workshop: many facets of magnetically closed corona A page for all the latest updates from the 8th Coronal Loops Workshop taking place at the Grand Hote 27-30 June 2017, Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa, Palermo Italy.

The conference will review past and recent achievements, as well as future challenges, in the field of solar coronal loop physics. The main topics to be discussed:
1) Observation, modelling and diagnostics of coronal loops: from fine structure and dynamics to global active regions.
2) Magnetic energy conversion in loops: reconnection, waves, and alternatives
3) Connection of loops to cool chromospheric plasma: the mass and energy cycle
4) Challenges in the interpretation of observed loop spectra
