You'll forget the exact question on your final exam. You won't forget the person who explained it to you the night before.

At UdA, you can build connections in a lecture hall, a shared project or a random conversation in the courtyard and spoiler: they tend to outlast most of what's in your notes.

Carla is a PhD student from Spain, and she’s spending a research stay with us at UdA. We sat down with her to hear what made her pack her bags, and what this adventure is teaching her.

Her advice for anyone still on the fence? Go and live an experience abroad! It might feel like a huge step, but it’s the kind that changes how you see your future and yourself.
