✒️L’Istituto Centrale per la Grafica rinnova la sua vocazione di luogo di ricerca, didattica e tutela con una giornata di studi dedicata ai più recenti approfondimenti su disegno e incisione.

🏛L’Istituto offre al pubblico più ampio un’occasione di valorizzazione e studio, confermando la vitalità delle collezioni e il legame radicato con la comunità scientifica.

🎓Ricerca & Grafica nasce dalla sinergia tra l’Istituto Centrale per la Grafica e le cattedre di Storia del disegno e dell’incisione delle tre università pubbliche di Roma, per valorizzare la missione educativa dell’Istituto: collezioni vive, usate ogni giorno per didattica e ricerca. Con questo progetto restituiamo gli esiti degli studi al loro contesto originario — il museo, luogo di tutela e conservazione — dando spazio a dottorandi e neodottori di Sapienza, Tor Vergata e Roma Tre su temi chiave di storia del disegno e dell’incisione.

📣Vi aspettiamo per un confronto aperto al pubblico che mette in dialogo musei e università.

The new 2nd-year module, "Medieval Art 2 LM", will begin this week, starting on Tuesday, April 15, taught by Professor Paola Vitolo!

including amazing visits to Medieval Rome!

The course aims to delve into specific aspects of Medieval Art in Rome between the 4th and 14th centuries. Particular attention will be given to the city’s relationships with other Mediterranean centres - such as Constantinople/Byzantium, Assisi, and Naples - by examining artists, artworks, and buildings that help reconstruct the dynamics of influence, reception, and the dissemination of models, styles, and themes. The course will also consider works produced by Roman artists outside of Rome, shedding light on exchange processes and interaction with local contexts.

Lecture at the Nederlands Interuniversitair Kunsthistorisch Instituut (NIKI) in Florence, by Tania De Nile, professor of "Dutch and Flemish Art 15th-17th Centuries" in the MA Art History in Rome From Late Antiquity to the Present.

‘Fantasmagorie. Streghe, demoni e tentazioni nell’arte fiamminga e olandese del Seicento’ – based on themes from her recent publication, Tania De Nile (proffesor at University of Rome Tor Vergata) will discuss how artists portrayed witch hunts within various political and religious contexts across the Northern Netherlands, Flanders, and Italy at our next upcoming lecture on November 15 which you can attend in person or online.
