Historically, framing data as "oil" meant treating it as a resource to be extracted, refined, and capitalized. But this assumes value is extracted from people, rather than created with and for them.

How can architectural education and professional practice inform and reshape one another?

In his lecture titled "Between Research and Practice: The Agency of Design within a Department of Architecture" , Michele Bonino will explore the relationships between teaching, research, and architectural production, drawing on projects and educational experiences from his academic and professional practice.

Michele Bonino is an architect, Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, and Head of the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) at Politecnico di Torino.

How do visitors actually experience museums beyond what curators intend? 🏛️👀

Our latest research, conducted at the Egyptian Museum of Turin as part of the Horizon Europe META-MUSEUM project, combines mobile eye-tracking and co-creation activities to explore public behaviour and inclusive communication. The findings reveal how active visitor involvement bridges the gap between expert narratives and audience engagement, transforming passive viewers into active participants.
