La ricerca sulla materia raggiunge una nuova complessità.
In Terre d’Oro, la fusione di minerali sulla superficie del cotto dà origine a cromatismi e luminescenze ispirati alle sfumature dei minerali preziosi. Texture, luce e colore entrano in relazione, trasformando la materia e rivelandone variazioni inattese.

Una nuova interpretazione dell’argilla, in cui sapere artigianale e sperimentazione aprono nuove possibilità progettuali per l’architettura.

COTTOZERO RARE HEART POLVERE DI STELLE

La ricerca prosegue entrando più in profondità nella materia e portando alla luce nuove presenze.

In Polvere di Stelle, elementi minerali emergono dall’argilla attraverso trasparenze, rifrazioni e variazioni cromatiche. L’incontro con la luce genera bagliori irregolari e sfuggenti, che cambiano con il punto di osservazione.

Il cotto assume così un carattere dinamico, in cui lavorazione artigianale e sperimentazione ampliano le possibilità espressive della materia.

La ricerca di CottoZero Rare Heart parte dalla dimensione più essenziale dell’argilla.

In Miniera, la superficie acquista una presenza profonda e scultorea. La texture, le variazioni cromatiche e i morbidi chiaroscuri restituiscono la forza della materia e il legame con le stratificazioni della montagna.

Le argille del territorio del Monte Rosa diventano così un linguaggio per l’architettura, capace di unire origine, sensibilità artigianale e rigore progettuale.

COTTOZERO - TERRE D’ORO  Terre d’Oro nasce da un percorso di ricerca dedicato all’incontro tra argilla e componenti minerali. La superficie del cotto viene arricchita da inclusioni che introducono nuove profondità cromatiche e inattesi effetti luminosi.

Ispirata alle sfumature dei minerali preziosi, la collezione sviluppa una materia vibrante, dove luce, texture e colore interagiscono continuamente, rivelando dettagli e variazioni che cambiano con l’osservazione.

Un cotto contemporaneo che amplia le possibilità espressive della materia attraverso un equilibrio tra tradizione artigianale e sperimentazione.

Ogni maiolica attraversa una fase in cui la materia cambia profondamente. È il momento dell’applicazione dello smalto, una lavorazione eseguita a mano che richiede esperienza, precisione e controllo costante.

Nelle maioliche Danilo Ramazzotti, l’elevata densità dello smalto non è solo una scelta estetica, ma parte di una precisa ricerca progettuale. È ciò che conferisce alle superfici corpo, profondità e tridimensionalità, permettendo alla luce di dialogare con la materia e valorizzarne ogni dettaglio.

Il risultato nasce dall’equilibrio tra il biscotto, che definisce la struttura della superficie, e lo smalto, che ne esalta carattere e intensità senza nasconderne l’identità.

È in questo gesto, ripetuto con cura su ogni singolo pezzo, che prende forma una delle caratteristiche più riconoscibili delle nostre maioliche.

Every majolica tile goes through a stage in which the material changes profoundly. This is the moment when the glaze is applied by hand, through a process that requires experience, precision and constant control.

In Danilo Ramazzotti majolica, the high density of the glaze is not only an aesthetic choice, but part of a precise design research. It gives the surfaces body, depth and three-dimensionality, allowing light to interact with the material and enhance every detail.

The result comes from the balance between the clay body, which defines the structure of the surface, and the glaze, which enhances its character and intensity without concealing its identity.

It is through this gesture, repeated with care on every single piece, that one of the most recognisable qualities of our majolica takes shape.

La copertina di Tile Italia 1/2026 accoglie CottoZero Sciruss Variegato San Mamante e Oriente, due colorazioni che appartengono alla storia di Danilo Ramazzotti.

Tra i primi Sciruss rieditati dall’azienda, comparivano già negli anni Ottanta su importanti riviste di settore. Oggi tornano a confermare l’attualità di una ricerca sul cotto variegato che continua a dialogare con il progetto contemporaneo.
In Sciruss, tre o più argille convivono nella stessa superficie, generando sfumature articolate e armoniose, dove il colore nasce dalla materia e si muove con naturale continuità.

Una presenza in copertina che restituisce il valore di un percorso fatto di materia, memoria e ricerca progettuale.

The cover of Tile Italia 1/2026 features CottoZero Sciruss Variegato San Mamante and Oriente, two colourways that belong to the history of Danilo Ramazzotti.

Among the first Sciruss surfaces reissued by the company, they already appeared in leading sector magazines in the 1980s. Today, they return as a confirmation of the contemporary relevance of a research on variegated terracotta that continues to engage with architectural design.
In Sciruss, three or more clays coexist within the same surface, generating layered and harmonious nuances where colour originates from the material itself and moves with natural continuity.

A cover presence that reflects the value of a path shaped by material, memory and design research.

In questo bagno, la materia costruisce l’equilibrio dello spazio attraverso due interpretazioni diverse del cotto.

Sulle pareti della doccia e sulla colonna, CottoZero Polvere di Stelle Champoluc Rigo introduce una superficie profonda e vibrante, dove argilla ed elementi minerali catturano la luce attraverso rifrazioni, bagliori e variazioni cromatiche. Il ritmo verticale delle righe lascia emergere un azzurro che diventa continuità cromatica con la superficie a pavimento.

A terra, CottoZero Ventilato Azzurro porta una lettura più essenziale e contemporanea della materia: una superficie compatta, uniforme e delicata, ottenuta attraverso una particolare lavorazione manuale delle argille.

Un accostamento pensato per un ambiente luminoso e misurato, dove texture, colore e luce definiscono l’atmosfera del progetto.

In this bathroom, material shapes the balance of the space through two different interpretations of terracotta.

On the shower walls and column, CottoZero Polvere di Stelle Champoluc Rigo introduces a deep, vibrant surface where clay and mineral elements capture light through refractions, glimmers and chromatic variations. The vertical rhythm of the grooves reveals a blue tone that creates chromatic continuity with the floor surface.

On the floor, CottoZero Ventilato Azzurro offers a more essential and contemporary reading of the material: a compact, uniform and delicate surface, achieved through a specific handcrafted treatment of the clay.

A combination conceived for a bright and measured interior, where texture, colour and light define the atmosphere of the project.
