🇮🇹 È ufficialmente aperta la Call for Papers del Convegno Dottorale “(De)Constructing Identities: Inclusive practices of naming”, organizzato dal Corso di Dottorato in Lingue e Letterature Straniere.
Come costruiamo chi siamo attraverso le parole? E come possiamo "decostruire" i nomi per creare spazi più inclusivi? In relazione a problematiche legate alla diversità e alla inclusione e sulla scorta delle teorie post-strutturaliste, femministe e postcoloniali che hanno sfidato una visione essezialista dell'identità, ma anche alla luce di più recenti teorizzazioni che si sono concentrate sulle politiche onomastiche, il convegno intende riflettere criticamente sui processi linguistici, letterari e traduttivi legati alla pratica onomastica attraverso i quali la/le identità sono costruite, formate, negoziate e, parimenti, contestate e distorte.

🇺🇸🇬🇧 The Call for Papers for the Doctoral Conference “(De)Constructing Identities: Inclusive practices of naming”, organized by the PhD Program in Foreign Languages and Literatures, is officially open.
How do we construct who we are through words? And how can we "deconstruct" names to create more inclusive spaces? In relation to issues of diversity and inclusion, and drawing on post-structuralist, feminist, and postcolonial theories that have challenged essentialist views of identity—as well as more recent theorizations focusing on the politics of naming—this conference aims to critically reflect on the linguistic, literary, and translational processes linked to onomastic practices through which identity/identities are constructed, formed, negotiated, and, likewise, contested and distorted.
