#今週の一枚筑紫地区オープンキャンパスで一般公開された国内最大の球状トカマク装置「QUEST」です！核融合エネルギーの研究に使われています。
（右奥に先代トカマク装置「TRIAM-1M」も見えます。ちなみに上部の緑色の構造物は天井クレーン。UFOキャッチャーのようにレールに沿って動き、重い部品の搬入・搬出やメンテナンス時に使われます。）

On display at the Chikushi Campus Open Day, QUEST is Japan's largest spherical tokamak device, used for cutting-edge nuclear fusion energy research.
Its predecessor, TRIAM-1M, can also be spotted in the back right. The green structure at the top is an overhead crane. Just like a claw machine, it moves along rails to transport heavy components and assist with equipment maintenance.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has announced that Northern Kyushu has officially entered the rainy season☔️
Coincidentally, today is also "Bug Day" in Japan, a play on the date June 4 (mu-shi = bug) 🐞

他にも様々な展示があって九州大学総合博物館ってすごい。（しかも無料）

Just saw a shiny ammonite (Metapracentoceras) at the Kyushu University Museum in Hakozaki. ✨
They also have a stamp rally, making exploring the museum even more fun!
So many cool things to see here. This Museum is seriously impressive.�(And it’s free!)

This is foxglove, a flower now in full bloom at the Medicinal Plant Garden of Kyushu University’s Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Although admired for its beautiful bell-shaped flowers—hence the English name “foxglove”—the plant is also well known for the potent toxins contained in its flowers and leaves.

＃今週の一枚　薬学府附属薬用植物園で見頃を迎えているジギタリスという花です。英語ではフォックスグローブ（狐の手袋）とも呼ばれる美しい花をつけますが、その花や葉には強い毒があることでも知られています。
