UPC is one of KIT's established partner institutions and Prof. Frutos's second visit to KIT took place as part of a Staff Mobility for Teaching within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme, hosted by KIT's Assoc. Prof. Alejandro Martinez, Faculty of Design and Architecture.

Together with KIT Architecture students, Prof. Frutos had the opportunity to conduct on-site survey of traditional wooden buildings and gardens in Kyoto, including the Oukoku Bunko, followed by a special lecture that she delivered on Architectural Design titled "𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚: 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞". The lecture was attended by as many as 40 students, reflecting the high level of interest for the architectural school of UPC.✨

We thank Prof. Frutos for her continued interest and contributions and look forward to further deepening the relationship with UPC and its popular School of Architecture.🤝

🌍 Study Abroad Report at Global Commons! ✈️

We had a great turnout for our study abroad reporting session today!
Students who had returned from 🇧🇪Universiteit Gent (Ghent University) and 🇦🇹TU Wien shared their amazing experiences.😊

It was a very warm and relaxed atmosphere and many students attended.
The speakers gave the students plenty of practical advice to the students, including:

✈ Why they chose these universities to study abroad
👩‍🏫 What campus life was really like
🙂 Fun activities and making new friends
💰 Important info about preparations and living costs

Everyone listened intently, and after the session, students had the opportunity to speak to the speakers in more detail.
Thank you to our speakers for being so helpful!☺️

Today, we were delighted to welcome two lecturers and sixteen third-year Bachelor of Architecture students from Faculty of Architecture, Chiang Mai University (CMU) in Thailand to KIT!🇹🇭✨

The group visited us as part of their educational travels to experience our academic environment and innovative facilities. The visit featured an information session led by Prof. TAKAGI Masato from our Faculty of Design and Architecture.

The students also enjoyed a guided tour of our architecture buildings, including the design studios, our specialized Wood Factory, and the KYOTO Design Lab (D-lab). 🔨✨

Our relationship with CMU is special. Since 2017, our universities have proudly offered Japan’s first master's-level joint degree program in architecture, which is based on years of successful architectural workshops and research. 🤝

It was a pleasure hosting such a bright group of future architects.
We hope to see many of you return to KIT in the future! 🎓🎓
