Our KUAS Bio students are rolling up their sleeves and getting practical experience in the Smart Agri House.

They are currently learning the ins and outs of cultivating their own fresh leafy greens and vegetables from scratch.

Wondering what hydroponics is? 🤔 It is an innovative method of growing plants without soil, using nutrient-rich water solutions instead! 💧🥬

Huge congrats to our 1st-year Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences student, Win Pyae Pyae Aung! She just took home the Best Speaker Award for her amazing environmental advocacy on an international platform!

Between empowering communities through the ReCircle initiative and being named an AJYELN 2.0 Myanmar Fellow, Win’s dedication earned her an exclusive invite to the ASEAN Youth Environmental Diplomacy Summit 2026 in Manila! 🍃✨

🎉 Welcome to the Freshman Festa! 🌱

We recently celebrated the arrival of our new Japanese students who joined us this April at KUAS' Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences with an unforgettable welcoming event!

Dean Tetsuro Mimura kicked off the festivities with an inspiring speech, setting a powerful tone of "discovery without limits" for the academic journey ahead. 🌍✨

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to connect and get inspired. Professors introduced themselves and shared insights into their fascinating research, while current students involved in the "Bio Trail Projects" took the stage to present the exciting, hands-on projects they are currently undertaking. 🔬

Between the presentations, everyone enjoyed games, light snacks, and plenty of fun, building the supportive community that makes our campus so special. 🍵🤝

Our first Connect Cafe of the spring semester was a wonderful success! 🌸☕

At KUAS, we believe that university life is about more than just academics—it’s about finding your community. This year, we’ve expanded these gatherings to both our Uzumasa and Kameoka campuses to ensure all our students have a space to build lasting friendships and ease into life in Japan.

Held once a month during lunch breaks, the Connect Cafe offers a glimpse into the active student life here:

Recently, we welcomed Prof. Ben M. Bensaou from INSEAD Business School for an unforgettable lecture with 73 of our students. This was far from a traditional, sit-down presentation!

Prof. Bensaou’s highly engaging teaching style—pacing the room, challenging students with direct questions, and breaking down real-world examples that perfectly apply to today’s fast-paced landscape—had everyone completely captivated and losing track of time. ⏳💡
