The Bustti Trainees' Council was inaugurated on May 26 following successful elections held towards the end of last term. The function was presided over by our Chaplain Rev. Emily, and graced by the Senior Principal Lucy Muhavi.
Addressing the incoming council members, the Principal pointed out that leaders are not only born, but chosen and made as well. She urged them to be open to new ideas and experiences in order to advance their leadership skills. She further urged the team to create a strong link between the trainees and administration through constant communication and adherence to authorised communication channels.

The principal hinted at the possibility of the institute hosting the upcoming regional athletics championships. She challenged the CS Sports to ensure our teams are adequately prepared to compete favorably against other teams in the region.

Bustti is not only a champion in athletics in the region, but has also proved to be the most preferred host for the championships since the inception of KATTI Western Region.

This morning, our Principal, Madam Lucy Muhavi, paid a visit to the Fashion Design Section in Department of Fashion Design and Cosmetology. The trainees were so overjoyed that they couldn't help asking for a photo with the Principal. The Principal challenged the trainees to maximize the emmence opportunities and resources available at Bushiangala Technical Training Institute to acquire competence in their trade area. She noted that trainees who had previously graduated from the department were either employed in reputable companies or running successful private enterprises. This is a testament of the quality of training offered in the institute.
