On Wednesday, 1st April, 2025, marked a pivotal milestone for the Economics Students Association of Maseno University (ESAMU) as we successfully held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and officially transitioned leadership from Team Alex Maina to Team Evans Opati.
The event brought together distinguished stakeholders, including our Patron, Dr. Scholastica Achieng Odhiambo, alongside key partners and industry leaders such as Pelecia Ochieng (CFO, Economics Students Association of Kenya), Sarah Sawadi (Director, PRM at KESA), KASNEB Ambassador, and a representative from Housing Finance. Their presence strengthened our institutional partnerships and highlighted ESAMU's strategic relevance in the broader economic and professional ecosystem.
This was more than a ceremonial handover; it was a moment of strategic reflection and forward planning. We reviewed our progress, assessed impact, and aligned on priorities that will define the next phase of ESAMU’s growth trajectory.
In her remarks, the Patron, alongside the outgoing Chairperson, emphasized the critical importance of active member participation in driving the association’s agenda. ESAMU’s success is fundamentally anchored on the engagement, innovation, and commitment of its members.
As we usher in Team Evans Opati, we are confident in a leadership approach that is progressive, results-driven, and committed to elevating ESAMU to greater heights. As well, we congratulate Team Alex Maina for the service they have offered to the association since 10th April, 2025, when they assumed office.
The future is promising. The mandate is clear. Ex*****on begins now.
