🌟 Hospitality & Tourism: The Journey Begins!

First-year students in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, SBEHTM, have officially begun their academic journey with a specialised departmental orientation.
Led by Chair of Department, Dr. Stella Mwawaza, the session introduced students to academic expectations, career opportunities and the exciting world of hospitality and tourism.

Students explored diverse career pathways, including hotel and accommodation management, culinary arts, food and beverage, events and conference management, airline hospitality, and tourism. They were also encouraged to embrace teamwork, professionalism, language skills, practical experiences, departmental clubs and university opportunities.

Machakos University first-year students wrapped up their orientation with a hands-on session on blended and online learning.
