Today, Rongo University is hosting a Postgraduate and Faculty Workshop at the Multipurpose Hall, bringing together scholars and researchers in a dynamic engagement aimed at advancing academic excellence and strengthening research impact.
The workshop was officially opened by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Fund Kenya (NRF), Professor Dickson Andala, who emphasized the importance of building robust research capacity and fostering innovation within Kenya’s higher education sector. The event also features a guest address by the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya National Innovation Agency, Dr Tonny Omwansa, who is expected to provide insights on innovation-driven development and research commercialization.
The distinguished guests were received by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Samuel Gudu, alongside the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & Student Affairs), Professor Michael Ntabo, and the Director of Research, Dr Evans Ouma.
This workshop marks a significant milestone in strengthening research collaboration, enhancing postgraduate scholarship, and reaffirming the University’s commitment to generating knowledge that addresses contemporary societal challenges.
