The well-meaning objectives are exposed to cultural and norms miss-understandings, personality clashes, organizational structures finding it difficult to adjust to the needs at hand and collaborating with outside interests. For efficiency’s sake, innovativeness and accountability need to be built in the community development worker who shall positively affect his/her organization’s culture and structure. And thus the Academy of Development Practice’s (ADP’s) education approach that focuses on eliciting the genius of the student; to identify the structures, practices and attitudes that enable him/her to respond accordingly and accountably to the community.
