The skill select results for December 2018 were as follows( skills select website)
The invitations for visa
- Subclass 189 =2490 applicants
- Subclass 489 = 10 applicants
The number of invitations for individuals with 70 points were 736.
The minimum overall points score for subclass 189 remained the same at 70.

The minimum points score for the following occupations were as follows
* Accountants: 80
* Auditors, Company Secretaries and Corporate Treasurers: 80
* Electronics Engineer: 75
* Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers: 70
* Other Engineering Professionals: 75
* ICT Business and System Analyst: 75
* Software and Applications Programers: 70
* Computer Network Professionals: 70

After preliminary data gathering and self-assessment, the applicant wishing to enter Australia through the General Skilled Migration Program should observe some guidelines that will help them determine if they are eligible to apply for a visa or not.
