A father who knows his time with his son is limited looks at him and decides what is most worth passing down. Of everything Luqman could have said, he chose these four. Prayer. Doing good. Pushing back against wrong. And patience when it costs you something real. Not wealth or status or worldly success. These four things. There is an entire philosophy of what matters inside that choice. Think about what you are passing down to the people who will outlive you.

People ask this question and receive very abstract answers. Ibn Masud, may Allah be pleased with him, described taqwa as obeying Allah and not disobeying Him, remembering Him and not forgetting Him, being grateful to Him and not being ungrateful. But perhaps the most practical description is this: taqwa is the awareness of Allah that slows you down before you do something wrong. Not guilt after the fact. Awareness before the act. That pause before you say something harmful, make a dishonest choice, or take what does not belong to you. If the pause is absent, the taqwa is absent.

1. Quitting at your lowest point would have taught you the wrong lesson. If you had stopped when things were hardest, you would have carried that as proof that you cannot handle difficulty. Allah kept you in it long enough to discover that you can.

2. The version of you that almost quit is more useful to others than the version that never struggled. The student who found it easy cannot tell a struggling classmate what to do next. You can. That experience is preparation.

3. What is waiting on the other side is not just a certificate. It is the person you become by finishing something that once felt impossible. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ reminded us that with every hardship comes ease. Not after it ends. Alongside it. The ease is already present. Keep going.

Most Qurbani campaigns feed a family. This one also educates a student. Just $110 covers both. A food-insecure family receives fresh halal meat on Eid. A student gets one month of Islamic education they cannot afford. Two people. Two forms of nourishment. Your name on both.

Give once. Feed one. Educate one. LaunchGood.com/qurbaniforeducation
