We would like to wish you and your families happy Eid celebrations. May the Noor of this great day illuminate our hearts, mind and souls and may all our sacrifices be appreciated along with our prayers. We pray that the Almighty also guide us towards the path of righteousness and the best of manners.
May Allah also alleviate sufferings around the world during this difficult period of COVID-19.

Today MAKU have featured in The Friday Bulletin. "..... addressing education matters for our bright Muslim needy students because the greatness of any community will not be measured by how wealthy they are but on how well they have invested heavily on their people." Umar Sakwa.

As an association we will continue to uplift our fellow needy students to pursue their career dreams.
Education should be a priority to any community. MAKU 100BOB FOUNDATION will continue changing student's life through collective efforts. Since it was officially launched in January, 2020 alhamdullillah 17 needy students benefited from Ksh.190,344 from this noble initiative. It is our hope & prayers this foundation will prosper.

EID MUBARAK

First of all we would like to thank each and everyone of us who participated in our programs this Ramadhan. This year's Ramadhan has been different from the past year's Ramadhans due to the COVID-19 situation all over the world. Circumstances forced us into undertaking only two activities which benefited needy MAKU members and the community ; Distribution of Iftar to members(from Main Campus Nairobi and Mombasa Campus) and local communities in and around Mombasa areas as well as food distribution to our International students' members living in around Kenyatta University.

We would therefore like to pass our sincere gratitude to all those who contributed something to the course and also all those who helped us throughout the entire distribution exercise. Special thanks to World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Religious Attaches' Office,MAKU Allumnis, MAKU members and general public.Alhamdulillah 21 Muslims from the International community and over 65 families benefited from our Initiative this Ramadhan.

Finally we would like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of us peaceful Eid celebrations. May the Almighty accept all our good deeds, Forgive all our transgressions and ease the sufferings of all people around the world.

This is to inform you that in this year's Ramadhan, we have designed a program to help disadvantaged communities through foodstuffs (Iftar) distribution .We therefore do appeal for donations and contributions from members and other well wishers. Let's all do this noble course before the 10th May,2020 In sha Allah.

Abu Hureirah reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "He who alleviates the suffering of a brother Allah will ease his suffering on the Day of Resurrection. He who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, Allah will make things easy for him in the Hereafter ... "

Yesterday we were privileged to have hosted MAKU ANNUAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT.
It was a one day tournament involving different universities.
Congratulations to Gresta University for emerging the winners .The final game was decided on penalty shootout after a 1-1 full time draw with MAKU team in which they won 5-4. For the runners-up MAKU team it is an opportunity to learn and bounce back stonger next time In sha Allah.
We extend our appreciation to the all teams, Organising committee, volunteers and fans for their sacrifice and contributions throughout the event.
