TOPIC ✨ BUILT TO LAST, DESIGNED FOR GLORY ✨

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

The Church of Jesus Christ is not weak or fragile; it’s indestructible. It’s not an organization trying to survive; it's a divine institution built by the Lord Jesus Himself. He declared, “I will build my church,” and what He builds is eternal, powerful and glorious. You’re a part of His Church, not as a bystander, but as a living stone (1 Peter 2:5).

That means you were chosen, shaped and placed by God in the Body of Christ to reflect His glory and fulfil His purpose. You’re not a mistake. You’re built to last and designed to shine. You’re not a part of something that can fail. The Church is not subject to the systems or structures of this world. We operate heavenly principles. We’re powered by the Holy Spirit and governed by the Word.

That’s why persecution, opposition, or adversity cannot destroy us. Instead, we grow stronger, more vibrant, and more impactful. James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.” Romans 8:35 tells us that there’s no amount of tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, perils or suffering that can prevail against us.

Then from verses 37-39, it says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." The gates of hell, the strategies, structures and systems of darkness will never prevail against the Church. We’re more than conquerors.

We have Satan where He belongs: under our feet. We’re in dominion. We’re reigning. We’re joint-heirs with Christ, associates of the God-kind, vessels of eternal excellence. We’re unstoppable. The glory of God is revealed in and through us. That’s the Church of Jesus Christ today—built to last, designed for glory.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me a living stone in the glorious Church of Jesus Christ—built to last and designed for glory. Thank you for the authority you’ve granted us to execute your will and manifest your glory in the earth. Today, your children, all over the world, walk in power, purpose and victory as they proclaim the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Blood Moons, Prophecy & New Age Deceptions

Whenever a “blood moon” occurs, New Agers rush to assign spiritual meaning to it. They pray to the moon as if it were a living power, treating the full moon as a time to release blocks and negativity and the new moon as a time to attract manifestations.

Sadly, some professing Christians also get caught up in the hype, claiming that blood moons are definite prophetic fulfillments. Yet both of these responses miss the point, because turning to the moon for help is idolatry, and claiming biblical prophecy can be a distortion of His Word.

The sun, moon, and stars were created for signs, seasons, days, and years (Genesis 1:14). They were never meant to be objects of worship or divination. When Israel fell into idolatry, one of their common sins was bowing to “the host of heaven” (2 Kings 17:16).

God warned that anyone who bowed down to created lights was guilty of turning from the Creator to the creature (Deuteronomy 4:19; Romans 1:25).

This same deception still appears today when people pray to the moon for guidance, peace, or power. The Bible is clear that prayer is to be directed to God alone, because He is the Creator of heaven and earth.

A “blood moon” is a total lunar eclipse, when the earth passes between the sun and the moon, causing the moon to appear reddish. It’s a natural phenomenon, not a mystical sign. New Agers may assign power to it, yet Scripture never tells us to look to eclipses for spiritual insights, “releasing blocks,” or divination.

Much of the excitement comes from Joel 2:31: “The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.” This prophecy is repeated in Acts 2:20 and Revelation 6:12.

Yet, these passages don’t point to eclipses that happen multiple times in a generation, but to cataclysmic signs during the Day of the Lord. They’re end-times judgments when God will directly intervene in history.

To claim that a lunar eclipse is the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy is misleading, because it lowers the seriousness of God’s judgment to the level of predictable astronomical events.

God warns His people not to be “dismayed at the signs of the heavens” (Jeremiah 10:2). Instead of looking up at the moon for power, Christians are called to look to Christ, the One who rules over all creation.

Jesus told us to be prepared for His return, but He didn’t tell us when He’d return. We anxiously await His return, and sometimes we get overly anxious.

The Gospel reminds us that our salvation and hope come from the finished work of Jesus on the cross. He is the true Light of the world (John 8:12).

When the world becomes fascinated with blood moons, horoscopes, Mercury retrogrades, or lunar cycles, Christians need to remember the words of Psalm 121:2: “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” The moon is a created light that points us back to the One who created it.

These zealous passionate FEBC students of our class of 2025 are heading out to Kiamwangi today to win the lost to Jesus!!! The harvest is ripe and these laborers are ready to heal the sick, cast OUT devils and gather new believers to a church pastored by one of our own students there. They’re excited to put to work what they have learned this term in Evangelism. Can’t wait to hear the good reports.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

William Tyndale, the man who translated the Bible into English and was burnt alive at the ridiculous young age of 42 years old, for his efforts. (Google Foxe's book of Martyrs.)

Nearly 500 years ago, this week, William Tyndale, fondly called 'Father of the English Bible' was strangled and burned at the stake after being tried and convicted of heresy and reason for translating the Bible into English.

HIS OFFENSE!
He translated the Greek Bible into English.

That you have a Bible in a language you can read is largely due to his labours, and many of the very phrases you read in it retain the flavour of his understanding of the Greek and Hebrew.

A graduate of Oxford and Cambridge, Tyndale had a powerful desire to make the Bible available even to the common people in England, in order to correct the 'Biblical ignorance of the priests.' At one point Tyndale told a priest, "If God spares my life, are many years pass, I will cause a boy that driveth the plow, shall know more of the Scriptures than thou dost."

Today, 90% of the King James Version of the Holy Bible and 75% of the Revised Standard Version are from the translation made by Tyndale, a man to whom you owe more than you'll ever know.

A nice dream, but how was Tyndale to accomplish his task, when translating the Bible into English was ILLEGAL at the time?'

He went to London to ask Bishop Tunstall if he could be authorised to make an English translation of the Bible, but the Bishop would not grant his approval.

However, Tyndale would not let the disapproval of men stop him from carrying out what seemed so obviously God's will. With encouragement and support of some British merchants, he decided to go to Europe to complete his translation, then have it printed and smuggled back into England.

In 1524 Tyndale sailed for Germany. In Hamburg, he worked on the New Testament, and in Cologne, he found a printer who would print the work. However, news of Tyndale's activity came to an opponent of the Reformation who had the press raided.

Tyndale himself managed to escape with the pages already printed and made his way to the German city Worms where the New Testament was soon published.

Six thousand copies were printed and smuggled into England.

The Bishops did everything they could to eradicate the Bibles. Bishop Tunstall had copies ceremoniously burned at St. Paul's; the Archbishop of Canterbury bought up copies to destroy them. Tyndale used the money to print improved editions!

Tyndale continued hiding among the merchants in Antwerp and began translating the Old Testament while the King's agents searched all over England and Europe for him.

A copy of Tyndale's "The Obedience of a Christian Man" fell into the hands of Henry VIII, providing the king with the rationale to break the Church in England from the Roman Catholic Church in 1534.
In 1535, Tyndale was arrested and jailed in the castle of Vilvoorde (Filford) outside Brussels for over a year.

Tyndale’s work was denounced by authorities of the Roman Catholic Church and Tyndale himself was accused of heresy.

Tyndale, 42 was finally found by an Englishman who pretended to be his friend but then turned him over to the authorities. After a year and a half in prison, he was brought to trial for heresy -- FOR BELIEVING, among other things, IN THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS and that THE MERCY OFFERED IN THE GOSPEL WAS ENOUGH FOR SALVATION. In August 1536, he was condemned and was executed [burned alive at the stake] publicly on October 6, 1536, in a small town in Belgium.

As he burnt to death, Tyndale reportedly said "Lord, open the king of England's eyes."

WAS HIS PRAYER ANSWERED?

YES! The prayer was answered first in part when three years later, in 1539, Henry VIII required every parish church in England to make a copy of the English Bible available to its parishioners. Today, Tyndale's prayer is fully answered, not only are the King's eyes opened, but the Bible a universal instrument.

* In 1611, the 54 scholars who produced the King James Bible drew significantly from Tyndale, as well as from translations that descended from his.

* In 2002, Tyndale was placed at number 26 in the BBC's poll of the 100 Greatest Britons; but in heaven he surely would be before the preceding 25.

A very important and interesting piece of history worth knowing and appreciating by all believers.
And may it *challenge* us to spend quality time in this same glorious book that this great servant literally gave his life for.

Today it's hard to imagine the world without an English Bible, and there could now be as many as 900 of such translations in existence – but before Tyndale it had never happened. He's known as the Father of the English Bible, since the later, epochal work of the King James Version of the Bible largely consisted of Tyndale's scholarly and accessible translations.

The English language, as with scholarly understanding, continues to evolve – and so the work of Bible translation continues today.

But without the courage and genius of men like Tyndale, who challenged the status quo before them and died for doing so, it might never have been possible.
