The course consists of four interconnected Sections. SECTION 1: Health and Health System in Sri Lanka, gives an overview of health in Sri Lanka. There is one module on this area (Health & Health Status) . SECTION 2 deals with the health sector and has the following modules: Health Systems & Health Organization, Health Interventions & Inter-sectoral Action). SECTION 3 is on Determinants of Health,
and explores how different sectors influence health in Sri Lanka. SECTION 4 is on Challenges Facing Health in All Policies. This will be a literature review conducted by the candidates to collate the information learned from the course. This course is organized in such a manner that participants will gain insight into concepts highlighting the inter- relationship between health and development and the multifaceted nature of such relationship. Experts drawn from a wide range of specialties will deliver the course. By this, you will apply the knowledge gained, to analyze and overcome present and future challenges in health development.
