SCU Organizes Full-Day Soft Skills, Good Behaviour, Career Pathways and VR Learning Programme for School Students
A full-day student development programme was successfully organized by SCU for 115 students from St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa, focusing on soft skills development, positive behaviours, career awareness, and immersive learning experiences.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Skill Up Sri Lanka National Programme and aimed to enhance students' personal and professional development skills.
The Soft Skills Development Session was conducted by Ms. Oshini Wimalasena, Lecturer at the SCU Business School, together with Mr. Sheahan Balasuriya Academic Instructor from the SLIIT School of Computing. The session focused on essential workplace and life skills, communication, teamwork, leadership, and professional conduct.
A Good Behaviour Development Session was also conducted to encourage students to cultivate positive attitudes, responsibility, discipline, and ethical values that contribute to both personal and academic success.
The Career Pathways Session was facilitated by Mr. Mihiran Weerathunga, Assistant Manager at SCU, who provided valuable insights into future career opportunities, higher education pathways, and industry expectations.
Students also participated in an engaging Virtual Reality (VR) Session, which offered an interactive and immersive learning experience, exposing them to innovative technologies and future-focused learning environments.
