සුභ නැකතට කිරි උතුරන
කොළොම්පුර සූර්ය මංගල්‍යය
"සූර්යාභිෂේක - 2026"

කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය හෙද විද්‍යා පීඨයේ හෙද පීඨ ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමයේ මඟපෙන්වීම යටතේ තෙවන වරටත් 2023/2024 සහෝදරත්වය මගින් සංවිධානය කරනු ලැබූ "සූර්යාභිෂේක - 2026" හෙද සිරිතට දොරට වඩින සූර්ය මංගල්‍යය 2026 වර්ෂයේ අප්‍රේල් මස 25 වන සෙනසුරාදා දින මාදිවෙල ප්‍රජා මණ්ඩල පරිශ්‍රයේ දී ඉතාමත් සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි. එහි දී කැමරා කාචය මත සටහන් වූ සුන්දර මතක රාමු පෙළක් මෙසේය.

“Suryabhisheka 2026 - The Golden Festival whispers at the doorstep of Nursing grace" was successfully held on Saturday, 25th of April 2026 at Madiwela Praja Mandala premises. It was organized for the third consecutive time by the 2023/2024 brotherhood under the guidance of the Students' Union of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo. Here's a beautiful series of cherished memories captured through the camera lens during this special occasion.

மூன்றாவது முறையாக கொழும்புப்பல்கலைக்கழக தாதியியல் பீட மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் வழிகாட்டுதலின் கீழ், 2023/2024 மாணவர்களினால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட “சூர்யாபிஷேக - 2026” எனும் பாரம்பரிய விழா, 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு சித்திரை மாதம் 25 ஆம் திகதி சனிக்கிழமை அன்று மாடிவெல சமூக பண்பாட்டு மண்டப வளாகத்தில் மிகவும் கோலாகலமாக நடைபெற்றது.

කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය හෙද විද්‍යා පීඨයේ හෙද පීඨ ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමයේ මගපෙන්වීම යටතේ කලා හා සාහිත්‍ය අනුකමිටුවේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පවත්වනු ලැබූ "ගිමන්හල - 2026" ප්‍රේමයේ ආනන්දනීය සන්ධ්‍යා සුයාමය ඉතා රමණීයව 2026 වර්ෂයේ පෙබරවාරි මස 10 වන අඟහරුවාදා දින සවස 6.00 සිට හෙද පීඨ මැගසින් පරිශ්‍රයේ දී පැවැත්වීය. එහිදී කැමරා කාචය මත දැකුම්කළු වූ රූප රාමු පෙළක් මෙසේ ය.

"Gimanhala - an enchanting evening woven with love", organized by the Arts Subcommittee, under the guidance of the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo was beautifully held on Tuesday, 10th of February 2026 from 6.00 p.m. onwards at the Magazine primises of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo. காதல் நிறைந்த இசைத் தென்றல் வீசும் பெப்ரவரி மாதத்தில்,
சோர்வடைந்த இதயங்களுக்கு இனிய ஆறுதலாக,
மென்மையான மெல்லிசையால் பேரழகு செய்த தருணம்..

"கிமன்ஹல”- காதலின் ஆனந்தமிகு இனிய மாலை, கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் தாதியியல் பீட மாணவர் சங்கத்தின் வழிகாட்டுதலின் கீழ், கலை மற்றும் இலக்கிய துணைக்குழுவின் தலைமையில் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டு,
தாதியியல் பீட சிற்றுண்டிச்சாலை வளாகத்தில், 2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 10 ஆம் திகதி செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை மாலை 6.00 மணி முதல் மிக அழகாக நடைபெற்றது. அந்த அழகிய தருணங்களில் பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட புகைப்படங்களின் தொகுப்பின் ஒரு பார்வை இதோ.

සුසුම් ගන්නා හදින්
අස්වැසිල්ලක් වනු පිණිස
දුක් වේදනා අතරින්
අපේක්ෂාවේ උණුසුම තනන
සුන්දර හසරැල්ලකින්
ජීවිත රැකුමටම සබැඳි
හෙද කම නාමයකි
මුළු ලොවක් පිදුම් දෙන....

අසරණ වූ මොහොතක සැනසීමක් වේදනාවෙන් පිරුණු මොහොතක ධෛර්යයක් අවශ්‍යම මොහොතක ජීවිතයකට බලාපොරොත්තුවක් දෙන උතුම් වෘත්තියක් ලෙස හෙද සේවාව දැක්විය හැකිය.

නූතන හෙද සේවාවේ මාතාව ලෙස සැලකෙන ෆ්ලෝරන්ස් නයිටිංගේල් මැතිණියගේ ජන්ම දිනය සැමරීමක් වශයෙන් සෑම වර්ෂයකම මැයි මස 12 වන දින ජාත්‍යන්තර හෙද දිනය සමරනු ලබයි. මානුෂීයත්වය, කැපවීම, දයාව සහ වගකීම යන ගුණාංග හදවතෙහි දරා ගනිමින් රෝගී හදවතෙහි සුවය වෙනුවෙන් දිවා රෑ නොබලා කැපවෙන සියලුම හෙද හෙදියන්ට ජාත්‍යන්තර හෙද දිනයේ උණුසුම් සුබ පැතුම් එක් කරන්නෙමු.

To hearts heavy with sighs,
Becoming a gentle solace,
Through pain and suffering,
Kindling the warmth of hope,
With a beautiful smile,
Bound to the saving of lives,
Nursing is a noble calling,
Honoured by the whole world....

Nursing is a consolation in moments of helplessness, a courage in moments filled with pain and a hope for life itself in the most critical moments. It can truly be described as a noble profession that stands as a beacon of hope when it is needed the most.

International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on 12th of May in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, who is regarded as the founder of modern nursing. Carrying the values of humanity, dedication, compassion and responsibility in their hearts, nurses work tirelessly day and night for the healing and well-being of patients. On this International Nurses Day, we extend our warmest wishes and heartfelt gratitude to all nurses for their selfless service and unwavering commitment.

சுவாசிக்கத் துடிக்கும் உயிர்களுக்கு
ஆறுதலாய் நின்று,
வேதனையின் நடுவிலும் நம்பிக்கையை விதைத்து,
ஒரு புன்னகையால் உயிர்களுக்கு துணிவளிக்கும்
அர்ப்பணிப்பு நிறைந்த இதயங்களே தாதியர்கள்..

அசாதாரணமான தருணத்தில் ஆறுதலாகவும், வேதனையால் நிரம்பிய நேரத்தில் தைரியமாகவும், மிகவும் தேவையான தருணத்தில் ஒரு உயிருக்கு நம்பிக்கையாகவும் விளங்கும் உயர்ந்த தொழிலாக தாதியல் சேவையை குறிப்பிடலாம்.

நவீன தாதியல் சேவையின் தாயாகக் கருதப்படும் Florence Nightingale அவர்களின் பிறந்த நாளை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் வைகாசி மாதம் 12 ஆம் திகதி சர்வதேச தாதியர் தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

மனிதநேயம், அர்ப்பணிப்பு, கருணை மற்றும் பொறுப்பு ஆகிய உயர்ந்த பண்புகளை இதயத்தில் தாங்கி, நோயுற்ற உயிர்களின் நலனுக்காக பகல் இரவு பாராது பணியாற்றும் அனைத்து தாதியர்களுக்கும் சர்வதேச தாதியர் தின நல்வாழ்த்துகளை தெரிவித்துக்கொள்கிறோம்.

කර්කශ වූ කතරකට
දිය බිඳකින් වූ සිසිලස
කඳුළු බිඳු ලෙසින් හෙළි
ශීත ගඟුලයි මවුනි නුඹ මට...

‎ලෝක මව්වරුන්ගේ දිනය (World Mother's Day) මෙම වර්ෂයේ දී මැයි මස 10 වන දිනට යෙදී ඇත.

‌‎"අම්මා" යනු ආදරය, කරුණාව සේම විවිධාකාරයේ කැපකිරීම් ගොන්නකින් පිරිපුන් අක්ෂර තුනකි. වචනයෙන් විග්‍රහ කළ නොහැකි ආදරය මේ ලොව මිනිසුන් පමණක් නොව, සත්ත්ව ලෝකය ද එක සේ අත්විඳියි.

‌‎දස මසක් කුස දරා, අප්‍රමාණ දුක් විදිමින් අපව බිහි කරනු ලැබුවේ ඇයයි. එයින් ඇගේ කර්තව්‍යය අවසන් නොවේ. ඇගේ රක්ත වූ රුහිරය ශ්වේත වර්ණ ක්ෂීරය බවට පත් කරමින් අපව පෝෂණය කරනු ලබන්නේ උතුරා යන දාරක ස්නේහය හිත තුළ සඟවන් ඇයගේ මුළු දිවියම තම දරුවන්ගේ අනාගතය වෙනුවෙන් කැප කරමිනි. ‌‎එමෙන්ම අප කුමන වයසක පසු වුව ද නිරතුරු නොවරදින ආශිර්වාදය සමඟ ඇය අප වෙනුවෙන් ආවඩමින් කාලය ගත කරයි.
‌‎මව් සෙනෙහේ වචනයෙන් කියා නිම කළ නොහැක. එවන් සෙනෙහසකට අරුතක් ලබා දෙන්නට අද දවස පමණක් ප්‍රමාණවත් නොවනමුත් ආදරණීය අම්මාවරුන් පිදුම් දීමට වෙන් කළ අද දිනය ලොව සියලූම මව්වරුන්හට ආවඩා ආයු ලැබ බොහෝ කලකට නීරෝගී සුව ප්‍රාර්ථනා කරමු.

Just like how a single drop of water,
soothes a parched desert,
Dear mother, you are
the stream of tears that soothes me...

World Mother's Day is celebrated on the 10th of May this year.

"Amma" is the four letters filled with love, compassion, and a plethora of countless sacrifices. The love that can't be expressed in words is experienced not only by humans but equally by the animal kingdom as well.

It is she who carried us in her womb for ten months, enduring immeasurable pain, to bring us into this world. Yet her duty does not end there. Converting her crimson blood into milk, she nourished us, all while concealing within her heart an overflowing love for her children, dedicating her entire life to secure our future. And no matter what age we may be, she continues to spend her time blessing us and cherishing us without fail. A mother's love can't be fully expressed in words. Although a single day is not enough to give meaning to such affection, on this day dedicated to honouring our beloved mothers, we wish all the mothers of the world a long life and vibrant well-being.

கடுமையான வறண்ட பாலைவனத்திற்கு
உயிர் தரும் ஒரு துளி நீராக வந்து,
வறண்ட என் வாழ்வை குளிர்வித்து,
அன்பின் நதியாக ஓடுகிறாய் அம்மா..

உலக அன்னையர் தினம் (World Mother's Day) இவ்வாண்டு மே மாதம் 10 ஆம் திகதியில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

“அம்மா” என்பது அன்பும், கருணையும் மட்டுமல்லாது பலவிதமான தியாகங்களால் நிரம்பிய மூன்று எழுத்துச் சொல். வார்த்தைகளால் விவரிக்க முடியாத அன்பை மனிதர்கள் மட்டுமல்லாமல், சகல உயிரினங்களும் சமமாக அனுபவிக்கிறது.

பத்து மாதங்கள் கருவில் சுமந்து, அளவில்லா துயரங்களைச் சகித்துக் நம்மை இந்த உலகிற்கு கொண்டு வந்தவர் அம்மா. அத்துடன் அவளது கடமை முடிவடைவதில்லை. தனது இரத்தத்தை வெண்மையான பாலாக மாற்றி நமக்கு ஊட்டுகிறாள். அவளது உள்ளத்தில் நிரம்பிய தாய்ப்பாசத்துடன், தனது முழு வாழ்க்கையையும் குழந்தைகளின் எதிர்காலத்திற்காக அர்ப்பணிக்கிறாள்.

நாம் எவ்வளவு வயதாகினும், எப்போதும் குறையாத ஆசிர்வாதத்துடன், நம்மை நினைத்து வாழ்த்திக் கொண்டிருப்பவர் அம்மா.

அவளது
தாய்ப்பாசத்தை வார்த்தைகளால் முழுமையாக விவரிக்க முடியாது. அத்தகைய அன்பை போற்ற ஒரு நாள் மட்டும் போதாதிருந்தாலும், அன்பு நிறைந்த அனைத்து தாய்மார்களையும் கௌரவிக்கும் இந்த நாளில் உலகின் அனைத்து அன்னையருக்கும் நீண்ட ஆயுளும் நல்ல ஆரோக்கியமும் கிடைக்க பிரார்த்திப்போம்.

2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 6 ஆம் திகதி நடைபெற்ற பீடங்களுக்கிடையிலான பளுதூக்கும் போட்டியில், 88kg எடைப் பிரிவில் கலந்து கொண்டு இரண்டாம் இடத்தை வென்ற கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக தாதியல் பீடத்தின் 2023/2024 ஆம் பிரிவை சேர்ந்த,

වර්ෂ 1886 මැයි මස පළමු වැනි දින ඇමරිකාවේ චිකාගෝ නුවර කම්කරුවන් පිරිසක් විසින් පැය අටක සේවා මුරයක් වෙනුවෙන් දියත් කරනු ලැබූ වැඩ වර්ජනයකින් ආරම්භ කළ අරගලය කම්කරුවන් සය දෙනෙකුගේ දිවි අහිමි කරනු ලැබුවේ බලය සහ නීතිය අතට ගත් පාලකයන්ගේ අත්තනෝමතික ක්‍රියා කලාපය හේතුවෙනි. මෙසේ කම්කරුවන්ගේ රුධිරය වගුරුවමින් ඇරඹි අරගලය හේතුවෙන් 1889 වර්ෂයේ මැයි මස 01 වන දා සිට සෑම වසරකම මැයි මස පළමු වන දිනට ලෝකවාසීන් විසින් කම්කරු අයිතීන් සුරැකීමේ ඒකායන පරමාර්ථය සහිතව ලෝක කම්කරු දිනය සමරනු ලබයි.

ඒ අනුව මෙම වසරේදී සමරනු ලබන්නේ 137 වන ජාත්‍යන්තර කම්කරු දිනයයි. කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය හෙද විද්‍යා පීඨයේ අපි තම දහදිය වගුරුවමින් වෙහෙසෙන සුවහසක් කම්කරු ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් මෙසේ අපගේ උත්තමාචාරය පුද කරන්නෙමු.

In 1886, on the first of May, a group of workers in Chicago, United States of America, launched a strike demanding an eight-hour workday. This struggle which began with that strike, ultimately claimed the lives of six workers due to the arbitrary and oppressive actions of the rulers who had seized power and the law into their own hands.
This movement which commenced with the shedding of workers' blood, led to the decision that from 1st of May 1889, the first of May would be observed every year by people around the world as International Labour Day, with the unified goal of protecting workers' rights.

Accordingly, this year marks the 137th International Labour Day. We, as the Faculty of Nursing, University of Colombo, extend our deepest tribute to the countless labourers who toil tirelessly, shedding their sweat in dedication.

1886 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 1ஆம் திகதி, அமெரிக்காவின் சிகாகோ நகரில், தினமும் 8 மணி நேர வேலை நேரத்தை கோரி தொழிலாளர்கள் ஆரம்பித்த போராட்டம், வேலைநிறுத்தமாக மாற்றமடைந்து ஆட்சியாளர்களின் அதிகார துஷ்பிரயோகம் மற்றும் அநியாயமான செயல்களால் ஆறு தொழிலாளர்கள் உயிரிழந்த துயரமான நிகழ்வாக மாறியது.

அந்த போராட்டத்தில் சிந்திய இரத்தத்தின் நினைவாக, 1889 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் மே 1 ஆம் திகதி உலகம் முழுவதும் தொழிலாளர் உரிமைகளை பாதுகாக்கும் நோக்கில் சர்வதேச தொழிலாளர் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

அதன்படி, இவ்வருடம் 137வது சர்வதேச தொழிலாளர் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தங்கள் உழைப்பாலும் வியர்வையாலும் உலகை முன்னேற்றும் அனைத்து தொழிலாளர்களுக்கும் கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக தாதியியல் பீடத்தின் சார்பில் மரியாதையையும் நன்றியையும் செலுத்துகிறோம்.
