Welcome to SLIIT Matara Center This centre is established for the convenience of students in the Southern province.

The Matara Campus of the SLIIT was established in 2004 and is situated at the heart of the Matara Town [E.H.Cooray Tower , Galle Road (Near the Matara Bodhiya)]. Thecampus admits upto 150 students for the first two years of the IT degree programme. In addition Short term courses are conducted by Division of Professional Development Programmes.

SLIIT Matara Center warmly welcomed its new batch of students for the May Intake 2026 on 20th May 2026.

The inauguration ceremony was organized for the new students and their parents in the disciplines of Computing. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Prasanna Sumathipala – Dean / Academic, Matara Center | Ms. Bhagyanie Chathurika – Academic Coordinator / Senior Lecturer, along with the academic and non-academic staff members of SLIIT Matara Center.

During the ceremony, students were warmly addressed and congratulated on being selected to SLIIT for their higher education journey. They were also motivated and inspired to achieve their academic and personal goals while embracing the opportunities ahead at SLIIT.
