Dr. Ajmal Hinas delivers Keynote at 5th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2025

We are pleased to share that Dr. AJMAL Hinas, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, was honored with a token of appreciation for delivering the keynote speech at the 5th International Robo Tech Olympiad 2025, hosted by Uttara University in collaboration with Robo Tech Valley.

The event was graced by Mr. Abdul Hai Sarker, Chairman of Dhaka Bank, who presented the token of appreciation to Dr. Hinas in recognition of his contribution to the event.

In his keynote, Dr. Hinas highlighted the critical role of innovation, creativity, and technology in shaping the future. He emphasized how events like the Robo Tech Olympiad inspire and empower the next generation of engineers, coders, and tech leaders to explore bold ideas and drive meaningful change.

Honoured to Win Silver! 🥈🤲🤲🤲

Our Faculty undergraduate project won Silver Award at the Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (SLEMA) Annual Awards 2025 for Most Outstanding Undergraduate Energy Research, held on 25th July 2025 at BMICH.

Our project, presented by Ahamed Saroth Suja with A.L.F. Sasna, was guided by our lecturers Eng. M.N.M. Aashiq, Dr. A.M.A. Saja, and Dr. W.G.C.W. Kumara from the Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.

A heartfelt thank you to SLEMA for recognizing our work and for creating a platform that empowers young researchers in energy innovation.

Best wishes to Prof. (Dr.) (Eng.) S.M. Junaideen for assuming duties as the new Vice Chancellor of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. Prof. Junaideen was the Founder Dean who also served as the Dean for 9 years (3 consecutive terms) for Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka from its establishment in 2013.
