International Relations Office - UoP InRO is exclusively dedicated to enhance global Relationss, to promote multidisciplinary

The International Relations Office was established in 2012 as per the concept of the UGC to transform Universities as world class Universities in their chosen fields. International Research Centre (InRC) of the University of Peradeniya aims at increasing the quantity and quality of UoPs research output. We do this by facilitating our scholars in their research and organizing and aiding projects wi

th international components that are carried out by the University. We coordinate signing of MoUs and conduct Student Exchange programmes and work closely with our international partners and host international scholars and researchers visiting the University. We also organize and sponsor International conference, symposia, workshop and seminars held at UoP.

๐ŸŒ Strengthening global partnerships!

The University of Peradeniya hosted a Chinaโ€“Sri Lanka Academic Exchange meeting with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the International Water Association (IWA) to discuss future collaboration and the progress of the UOPโ€“JRDC.

The discussion focused on advancing joint research in water and environmental sciences, expanding international cooperation, and positioning JRDC as a regional hub for research and innovation.

University of Peradeniya Hosts Sri Lankaโ€™s First CAPSLE ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐ŸŽ“

The University of Peradeniya hosted the inaugural Colloquium in Academic Preparation for Sri Lankan Educators (CAPSLE) from 10โ€“14 January 2026 at the Faculty of Engineering.
Organized with the United Statesโ€“Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission and supported by international partners, the programme brought together academics from 9 Sri Lankan universities to strengthen skills in teaching, research, publication, collaboration, and research funding.
CAPSLE 2026 marked an important milestone in advancing academic leadership and capacity building in Sri Lanka.

Federation University Australia โ€“ New Colombo Plan Programme in Sri Lanka ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŒฟ

Students from Federation University Australia arrived in Sri Lanka on 6 January 2026 for the DFAT New Colombo Plan Study Abroad Programme in Tropical Biodiversity at the University of Peradeniya.
The programme combines academic learning, fieldwork, and cultural immersion, including forest restoration activities and a visit to Horton Plains National Park. The delegation also donated laptops to support the Universityโ€™s recovery efforts after recent flooding, strengthening the ongoing partnership between the two institutions.
