Today (18.06.2024) marks the 48th day of our continuous strike. For 48 days, we have stood together, unwavering in our commitment to fight for our rights. Yet, despite our relentless efforts and the justice of our cause, the government continues to ignore our demands, playing with our futures and livelihoods.
But today, we gather here for a massive picketing in front of the University Grants Commission in Colombo. We are here to send a powerful message that our patience is not infinite, and our resolve cannot be broken. We have reached an extreme stage in our struggle, and it is time for us to escalate our efforts and show the full strength of our unity.
Each one of you is a pillar of this movement. Your dedication, your sacrifice, and your unwavering spirit are what drive this cause forward. Many of us are facing severe financial hardships, yet we stand firm, knowing that our fight is just and our cause is right.
