Atamie International Academy is the brain child of Deshamanya Dr. Azard Uduman MD(AM), BAMS (AM) , RMP (AM) India, PhD (USA) , commenced in Jan 2003 located at # 139 Aweriwatte Rd, Wattala. The students have the option of selecting Local Ordinary Level and advanced Level examinations in the English Medium as well. Atamie International School has the Principal school at Wattala and the branches at
Ja Ela, Ragama, Minuwangoda, & Kotahena. Presently the student population is over 2500 in all five schools. Atamie is planning to re locate the head school to it’s new premises which is going to be a purpose built school on a 1.8 acres of land at Wattala, itself. The construction is planned to commence soon. This model school will comprise of fully equipped classrooms, fully equipped Science & Computer Labs, Library, Swimming pool, Basket Ball Court, Gymnasium, Auditorium, Activity rooms, 100 meter synthetic track, Food court etc. The name Atamie comes from the names of the children of the Founder Deshamanya Dr. Azard Uduman. Alex, Tamina, Meisha, Mathew and Evin. It also has a secret meaning. The Japanese call hot water springs as Atamie and they consider these places to be lucky. Atamie therefore has always been lucky steering with enormous success by the grace of GOD! for the last 12 years.
