The Day Syrup Flooded a City 😨
🚨 Imagine a giant wave of syrup destroying
an entire street!
On January 15, 1919, something unbelievable happened in Boston, USA.
A massive storage tank suddenly burst, releasing more than 2 million gallons of thick molasses into the streets.
The sticky wave rushed through the neighborhood, damaging buildings and trapping people in its path.
When the disaster ended, 21 people had lost their lives and around 150 were injured.
But here's the shocking part: the disaster wasn't caused by a storm or an earthquake.
It happened because a huge industrial tank failed.
The tragedy became known as the Great Molasses Flood, one of the strangest disasters in American history.
Could you ever imagine a flood made of syrup?
