Sookdeo Bissoondoyal State College Sookdeo Bissoodoyal State College located at Rose Belle, Mauritius Today in 2013, SBSC has a school population of 784 boys.

The foundation stone of Sookdeo Bissoondoyal State College (SBSC) was laid in 1974, when it was first created in an old railway station building with a school population of 128 boys at that time. In 1979, the college shifted to a new building (Phase A), currently at Chapelle Lane, Rose Belle. Extensions were made in 1999 to accommodate a well-equipped Design and Technology workshop and a gymnasium

. SBSC has forged its reputation over time with the outcome of 2 laureates during its existence. Moreover, Sookdeo Bissoondoyal State College has witnessed exponential changes influenced by great educational reforms of the different governing parties. In 2005, it was transformed to an Upper Secondary School, also known as a Form VI school. When the system was subsequently abolished, SBSC (which has always had a good reputation) was transformed into one of the few national colleges with the reintroduction of Form I to VI classes.
