Recently, the Doha College Souillac welcomed Dr Shakeel luckoo, chemistry educator to elaborate about science and spirituality. He explained to our pupils prayer, contemplation, and the search for life's purpose as well as experiences of awe, interconnectedness, or inner peace which was related to science. The science department were involved and our pupils were highly interested in science, spirituality, and a practical application, a useful approach was used to focus on practices that have both spiritual significance and some scientific support.

Souillac is one of the most beautiful village in Mauritius starting from Gris-Gris, its infrastructures and to the empathy of its inhabitants. Our Grade 13 Travel and Tourism students actively participated in a waste collection campaign around our village under the theme “Anou Nettoye Nou Villaz.” This initiative promoted environmental awareness, community responsibility and sustainable practices.

🧪🔔 Science Quest 2026
This year, our school proudly participated once again in the Science Quest competition with our innovative project: “Production of Bio‑Plastics from Sugarcane Bagasse using Lactic Acid Bacteria.” 🍃✨ Our students gave their very best and presented a project that reflects creativity, sustainability, and scientific excellence. We are deeply proud of their hardwork and efforts. 💡👏
A heartfelt thank‑you to Mr. Nunkoo, our supervising teacher, for his guidance, to all the staff of the Science Department for their constant support, and to the School Management for their encouragement and trust.
Our journey in Science Quest 2026 reminds us that true success lies not only in rankings, but in the passion for discovery and the courage to innovate.
