Stepping outside the classroom!!

This is how we spent two days at the IFE conference. We learned about *Global Shared Classrooms* and *COIL* activities. We were able to hear experiences from students taking *International Online Classes*, and we had the pleasure of meeting some amazing professors.

We experienced an interactive CPIL activity among professors, getting a feel for how global collaboration actually works!!

We’re looking forward to the next *IFE Conference*!!

Welcoming leaders from Harvard Kennedy School to Tecnológico de Monterrey 🇲🇽🤝🇺🇸
At Campus Monterrey, we had the honor of hosting representatives from HKS, including Jeremy Weinstein, Sol Carbonell, and Samantha Morrison.

During their visit, they met with academic and institutional leaders from Tec to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration in education, innovation, and public policy.

The delegation also explored initiatives such as Mostla, the Tec21 model, immersive learning experiences, and the technologies transforming learning across our institution.

As part of Global Shared Learning Week, students from Tecnológico de Monterrey and Brunel University of London participated in an international collaboration focused on intelligence studies, national security, and global crises.

Led by Dr. Diorella Islas and Dr. Matthew Seligmann, students explored how intelligence shapes decision-making, culture, and international security through conferences, breakout sessions, and intercultural dialogue between Mexico and the United Kingdom.

This experience provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives, strengthen global academic connections, and learn beyond borders. 🌎📚

🌎⚖️ Como parte de la Global Shared Learning Week, estudiantes del Tecnológico de Monterrey y la Universidad San Francisco de Quito vivieron una experiencia académica internacional única: una simulación ante la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH).

Durante la actividad, analizaron casos sobre migración, refugio, apatridia y derechos humanos, participando en audiencias jurídicas, debates y defensa de personas migrantes.

Guiados por Hugo Cahueñas-Muñoz (USFQ) y Eduardo Tapia (Tec de Monterrey), las y los estudiantes fortalecieron habilidades de análisis jurídico, pensamiento crítico y reflexión sobre los desafíos actuales en materia de derechos humanos.

🤝 Una experiencia intercultural que conectó a estudiantes de México y Ecuador para aprender, dialogar y construir perspectivas globales.

As part of Global Shared Learning Week at Tecnológico de Monterrey, students from Tec and the University of Tennessee collaborated in multicultural teams to design a Communication Playbook for Multicultural Teams.

Through intercultural dialogue and Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, students reflected on communication styles, teamwork, leadership, and collaboration across cultures while proposing practical strategies for more effective global teamwork and understanding.

We are also very grateful to Mtra. Rossy Toledo from the University of Tennessee and Mtra. Susana Peña from Tecnológico de Monterrey for creating these meaningful activities that encourage the exchange of ideas and strengthen the relationship between both institutions.

🌍✨ During Global Shared Learning Week, students from Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia came together in a bilateral collaboration exploring diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.

In the Diversity in a Globalized World course, Itzel Barrera de Diego guided students through From Sea to SEA, with inspiring contributions from EXATEC Oscar Abraham Reyes and Sharina Abdul Halim, encouraging reflections on the connections between Mexico and Southeast Asia. 🌏

Meanwhile, in the Entrepreneurship with Purpose unit, led by David Huerta Harris, students exchanged ideas on recycling and sustainability practices while reflecting on how cultural dimensions shape perceptions and habits around recycling in Mexico and Malaysia. ♻️

Special thanks to Harfiz Mohamad for helping create these meaningful international learning spaces. 🤝🌱
