iKAL-IKMAS UKM played a central role in facilitating UPTM’s International Seminar in Mexico, co-organised with La Universidad de Ixtlahuaca (UICUI) on 3–4 December. Over two days, the seminar brought together ideas and perspectives aimed at strengthening Malaysia–Mexico academic relations, with shared attention to education internationalisation, sustainability, and social development.

iKAL also arranged outreach meetings for the UPTM delegation with UNAM and El Colegio de México, two of the region’s leading institutions, from 7–10 November. These engagements opened meaningful discussions on academic collaboration, research partnerships, and future mobility opportunities.

To ensure smooth communication and effective coordination throughout the mission, one of iKAL’s Fellows, Dr Nik Hasif, served as coordinator and translator.

This partnership underscores the iKAL’s pivotal role in driving international collaboration and strengthening long-term academic partnerships between Malaysia and Latin America. 🇲🇾 🇲🇽

The iKAL team took part in a meeting with the delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Americas II Division, to prepare for the upcoming special event honouring the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, with an honorary doctorate on 25 October.

El equipo de iKAL participó en una reunión con la delegación del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, División de las Américas II, para preparar el próximo evento especial en el que se otorgará el título de doctor honoris causa al presidente de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, el 25 de octubre.

A warm farewell to the four representatives from UTHM who completed their short mobility programme on gastronomy and engineering at UICUI, Mexico. This marks the first batch of mobility students sent by UTHM, a collaboration initially connected through iKAL.

Una cálida despedida a los cuatro representantes de UTHM que culminaron su programa de movilidad corta en gastronomía en UICUI, México. Este grupo constituye la primera cohorte de movilidad enviada por UTHM, una colaboración establecida inicialmente a través de iKAL.
