✨ An insightful and inspiring session at MMU Melaka!

The Centre for Alumni was pleased to attend “Ethical Foundations & Professionalism in Technology, featuring our distinguished Permata Dunia Ahmad Bukhari Mohd Yunus (FET Class of 2004), Vice President, Human Resources, Shell Malaysia.

Through his sharing, students gained valuable insights into professional ethics, workplace expectations, leadership, and the importance of integrity in building a successful career.

Following the session, representatives from several MMU units had the opportunity to engage with Mr. Bukhari in a productive discussion on potential collaboration opportunities between MMU and Shell Malaysia. The conversation explored ways to strengthen industry-academia engagement and create meaningful opportunities for students and alumni.

🤝 Reconnecting with Our Permata Dunia at Telekom Malaysia!

On 11 June 2026, the Centre for Alumni had the opportunity to be part of the Bersama Group CEO Telekom Malaysia (TM) event at Menara TM, Kuala Lumpur.

Throughout the day, we met and reconnected with many MMU alumni currently serving across various divisions in TM. From catching up on where their careers have taken them to updating their contact details, every conversation reminded us of the strong alumni network that continues to grow beyond campus.

A special thank you to the MMU Alumni Society, led by its President, Mr. Syahrir Nizam Jalis, as well as the committee members who took the time to come down and support us throughout the event. From engaging fellow alumni to helping at the booth, your enthusiasm, dedication, and team spirit played a significant role in making the day a success.

We were also honoured to receive a visit from Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Suud, President of MMU, whose presence and encouragement meant a great deal to our team.

One of the highlights of the day was welcoming Datuk Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM, to our booth. During the visit, the MMU Alumni Society presented him with a special souvenir, together with the iconic MMU Hot Wheels Bus, as a token of appreciation for TM's continued support and collaboration.

To all the alumni we met, thank you for stopping by, sharing your stories, and staying connected with us. We look forward to building even stronger ties with our alumni community and creating more opportunities together in the future.

The Centre for Alumni was pleased to attend the Alumni Talk, Beyond KPIs: People, Performance & Purpose, organised by the Faculty of Business, MMU on 9 June 2026.

The session featured Ms. Dehviaalini Siva Kumar, Founder & Principal Learning Consultant of KindFluence Leadership Studio, who shared valuable industry insights on performance management and the importance of balancing people, performance, and purpose in today's workplace.

Through her professional experiences and practical perspectives, students gained a better understanding of how effective leadership and people-centric approaches contribute to meaningful organisational success beyond conventional performance metrics.

On 9 June 2026, the Centre for Alumni had the opportunity to meet and engage with representatives from Naresuan University, Thailand, during their visit to the university.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and insights on alumni engagement, alumni relations, and the development of a sustainable alumni ecosystem. Through the discussion, both institutions shared experiences, challenges, and best practices in fostering meaningful connections with graduates and strengthening alumni networks.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Lim Way Soong (FET) for facilitating this connection and making the engagement possible. His support has enabled a valuable exchange of knowledge and experiences between both institutions.
