The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) International - formerly The Chartered Institute of Transport - was formed in 1919 and was granted its Royal Charter in 1926. ing in 1994 under which 10 national councils were established in various parts of the world. The Institute operates as a co-ordinating body and custodian of the Royal Charter. All National Councils are effectively 'chartered' through their membership of CILT and are represented on its governing Council. CILT continues to hold the Royal Charter under the authority of the (UK) Privy Council. Subject to certain qualifications individual members of any National Council hold chartered status under the authority of this Royal Charter.

The delegation of the Electronics Industry Supply Chain Association of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP | 中物联 | 中国物流与采购联合会电子产业供应链分会), led by its Secretary General, Mr. Jack Pan, made a visit to Penang and had a networking dinner with the professional logisticians of LogM and CILT (Penang Section) headed by our Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon 拿督曾家麟博士, PhD (USM), FCILT, FLogM on 21 May 2026 (Thu).

Our Log. Ts. Amy Ooi Ai Mi 黄佳宓物流师, FCILT, FLogM; Log. Goh Khen Boon 吴健文硕士物流师, CMILT, MLogM; Log. Jasmine Chang Paik Im 曾碧音硕士物流师, CMILT, MLogM; and Log. EuNice Chang Qi Ying 曾祺莹硕士物流师, CMILT, MLogM, were also in attendance to welcome and grace the logistics and supply chain industry leaders from China.

It was an effort of our Dato' Log. Ts. Dr. Chang Kah Loon in expressing and promoting, from his speech, Malaysia and Penang in particular, the overall development and management, including education, culture, and communities, during the crucial networking session of our logistics and supply chain.

Dr. Chang Kah Loon (拿督曾家麟博士), PhD (USM), FCILT, FLogM, was invited to moderate a panel discussion on "Optimising Asia’s Automotive Supply Chains, Logistics, and Warehousing: Sustainability and Digital Resilience” at the International Automotive Mobility Solutions Conference 2026, organised by Messe Frankfurt (Germany/ Hong Kong), at KLCC, Malaysia, 14-16 May 2026.

The conference was held in conjunction with the automotive trade fair, which attracted more than thousands of participants, visitors, and exhibitors from various countries.
