✨ We were honored to welcome Daryl Beetner, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and IEEE Fellow from Missouri University of Science and Technology, to our Advance Microwave & Antenna laboratory, block P18 Faculty of Electrical Engineering,Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

During the visit, Prof. Beetner also had the opportunity to meet with the Dean at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, for a discussion on academic collaboration, research opportunities, and future strategic partnerships.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), research initiatives, and potential collaborations between institutions.

Thank you for the visit and insightful discussions. We look forward to strengthening future collaborations in research, innovation, and engineering excellence.

📄 “Flexible Multi-Wideband Wearable Antenna for Preliminary Evaluation of Tumour Detection in Breast Phantom Model”

Published in Advanced Electromagnetics Journal (Indexed in Scopus and WoS ESCI, Impact Factor: 0.8)

📝 Summary:
This work presents a flexible wearable antenna for non-invasive breast tumour detection using microwave imaging. Operating at 2.4 GHz and wideband above 5 GHz, the antenna is fabricated on a breathable cotton substrate and integrated with an AMC array for improved gain and reduced back radiation. It demonstrates stable performance under bending, low SAR (0.23 W/kg), and effective tumour detection (2–10 mm) using a realistic breast phantom model. The design highlights strong potential for safe, wearable biomedical diagnostics.

✅ Applicants must complete all seminar videos via E-Learning before the test.
✅ Minimum 70% is required to pass and obtain the Safety Pass.

Please ensure pre-registration is completed within the stated period.
