Inovasi baharu dari Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) membuka lembaran baharu dalam bidang forensik apabila pendekatan nanobio berasaskan enzim diperkenalkan bagi memaparkan cap jari secara lebih selamat dan mesra alam. Bukan sahaja mampu menghasilkan visual cap jari dengan jelas, malah teknologi ini turut berkesan walaupun bukti telah terendam di dalam air, sekali gus memperkukuh usaha penyiasatan jenayah yang lebih lestari.

The Department of Chemistry proudly congratulates three of our lecturers for securing research grant awards under national funding schemes from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia

🔬 Assoc. Prof. ChM. Dr. Roswanira Abdul Wahab
Awarded the Prototype Research Grant Scheme (PRGS) with a total funding of RM 256,000.00 for her project titled:
“Scale-up Development of the Nanobiobased Candida Rugosa Lipase Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes as Latent Fingerprint Visualizing Reagent Prototype for Forensic Application.”

⚗️ ChM. Dr. Sheela Chandren
Awarded the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) with a total funding of RM 152,800.00 for her project titled:
“Physicochemical Attributes of Titania Nanoparticles Photocatalyst Sequentially Encapsulated by Hollow Silica-Shell with pH and Thermo-Responsive Polymers for Bisphenol A Degradation.”

🧪 ChM. Dr. Fazira Ilyana Abdul Razak
Awarded the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) with a total funding of RM 142,800.00 for her project titled:
“Mechanistic Investigation of Synergistic Effects in Polyvinylpyrrolidone-Stabilized Metal-Graphene Oxide Catalysts for Electric Field-Enhanced Hydrogenation.”
