We provide counselling services to enhance personal and emotional well-being as well as to provide information on academic pathways and career development to university students. Our counsellors are qualified, well-trained and we abide by the counselling ethics and law. We counsel with care and respect students' privacy and confidentiality at our counselling sessions.

Greetings from the Centre for Healthy Minds and Wellbeing (CHMW), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Sungai Long Campus.

We are pleased to invite you to the Life and Death Talk & Activity Series 2026, themed:
“Waves of Wonder: Embracing Life and Learning About Death Across the Lifespan.”

This year’s series provides a safe and meaningful space to reflect on life, deepen awareness of mortality, and build emotional resilience across different stages of life. Participants will gain valuable insights into embracing life fully while understanding death as a natural part of the human experience.

The series will feature insightful talks by invited speakers, along with educational and reflective tours. Please refer to the attachment for details of the activities.

Dear All,

We are pleased to invite you to group counselling organised by the Centre for Healthy Minds and Wellbeing, Department of Student Affairs (DSA), Sungai Long Campus.
This group counselling services focus on helping students build self-confidence and develop a more positive self-image. The group also helps students understand and manage their emotions in a healthy way.
Through guided discussions and activities, participants will explore their strengths, understand self-doubt, and learn how to appreciate themselves. Participants will learn to identify emotional triggers, express their feelings appropriately, and develop practical coping strategies. It is a safe and supportive space to express yourself and grow into a more confident version of who you are.

Dear All,

The Centre of Healthy Minds and Wellbeing of the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), Sungai Long Campus will be organising an International Webinar World Sleep Day 2026. The theme for World Sleep Day 2026 is Sleep Well, Live Better. This event will explore various approaches to promoting sleep health, preventing sleep disorders, and discussing treatment perspectives. It will also highlight current trends, protocols, and alternative options related to sleep issues.

The objectives of the International World Sleep Day 2026 are:

(a) To promote psychological well-being, mindfulness, and physical health among UTAR students and
the broader community, including secondary school teachers and students in the Kajang area.
(b) To discuss preventive measures and promotional strategies for addressing sleep-related issues.
(c) To enhance awareness and knowledge of sleep disorders and their impact on daily life.
(d) To provide talk series for UTAR students and the community to engage in discussions and expert
insights on sleep health.

The International Webinar World Sleep Day 2026 is planned to be held via virtually as follows:

The Centre for Healthy Minds and Wellbeing, Department of Student Affairs (DSA), Sungai Long Campus, will be organising a talk titled ?Psychology of Inner Perception & Its Use for Daily Stress and Emotions.
(In conjunction with World Sleep Day 2026)

In today's university life, individuals may experience stress, frustration, anxiety, and conflict, which can lead to emotional distress, health concerns, and relationship difficulties. This talk introduces the technique of Psychology of Inner Perception, focusing on using the mind to look inwards, with an emphasis on sleep-related research, current trends, and practical applications for managing daily stress and emotions.
