The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy IIUM conducts the pharmacy program with the Islamic

KOP Courtesy Visit to the Pharmacy Service Division, Pahang State Department of Health

On the 20 April 2026, the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, IIUM conducted a courtesy visit to the Pharmacy Service Division, Pahang State Department of Health (JKNP). The Kulliyyah delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nor Ilyani Mohamed Nazar, accompanied by the management team comprising Deputy Deans, Heads of Departments, and pharmacists.

The delegation was warmly received by the Deputy Director of Health (Pharmacy) Pahang, Dr. Mastura Ahmad, along with her team of officers.

The visit commenced with a briefing session, where both parties shared insights into their respective roles and functions. This was followed by a productive discussion focused on identifying potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in teaching and learning, research initiatives, and community engagement projects.

Kulliyyah of Pharmacy Conducts Tawhidic Epistemology TOT Workshop

The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), successfully organised a Tawhidic Epistemology: Train-of-Trainers (ToT) Workshop on Wednesday, 15th April, at the Main Meeting Room, KOP.

Organised by the Tawhidic Epistemology Committee, the workshop featured Dr. Mohd. Yusof Bin Mohamad (Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences), who delivered an insightful session on the application of Tawhidic Epistemology in teaching and learning (TnL), co-curriculum, postgraduate studies, and research.
The session brought together TE Committee members and academic staff, providing a platform for discussion and capacity building to support the integration of Tawhidic principles across the Kulliyyah.

The workshop also contributed to ongoing efforts to develop a Tawhidic Epistemology Guideline for the Kulliyyah of Pharmacy (KOP), in line with IIUM’s mission of Islamization of human knowledge.

The MyRA briefing on 14 April 2026 was a pivotal strategic session focused on securing a 6-star rating for the 2026 assessment. A key issue identified was the underreporting of scholarly activities, which obscures the Kulliyyah’s true research impact. To address this, the faculty established a clear mandate: every academic staff member is expected to serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) and consistently publish in reputable indexed journals.

The Dean further directed all staff to submit their projections via the MyRA individual performance template; these figures will be integrated into the Master File to serve as the official benchmark for yearly performance evaluation.

🌿 Kembara Sihat @ Pos Sinderut 2.0 🌿

The Kulliyyah of Pharmacy successfully concluded Kembara Sihat @ Pos Sinderut 2.0 (3–5 April 2026) in Pos Sinderut, Kuala Lipis, Pahang — led by Usrah In Action 2 (Section 824) and SITEC Flagship, Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norny Syafinaz Ab Rahman.

The programme was conducted with Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre (SASMEC) @ IIUM as the main strategic partner, alongside SK Senderut, Pejabat Kesihatan Daerah Lipis, MRA, PERKIM, Pinzgauer Team, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Pejabat Hutan Lipis.

✨ Guided by the theme “Empowering Lives through Health and Education,” this final phase of the QUM Little Ambassador Programme brought learning into practice, emphasising the safe and effective use of medicines among children.

• QUM & Home Medication Review (HMR)
• Health screening & TB awareness
• Children’s hygiene education
• Inspirational sharing by an Orang Asli nursing student
• Community workshops (quail farming & durian planting)
