Day 5 of art beats festival workshop with SunU Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and School of Arts - Lancaster University students!!

The filming continues… 🎬 Each group is pushing forward on their short films — some have even started editing! This collaborative process is bringing two cultures and skillsets closer together. This crossing between our universities‘ students is creating future memories of how they made something amazing through the power of two! ✨

We’re also honoured to have Enni Red masterclass on her experience and perspective as different roles in the film industry, giving us tips on how to apply for film festivals and what to look out for.

Day 4 of Art Beats Workshop with SunU Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and School of Arts - Lancaster University students!!

And... the filming days start! 🎬

Today, our student groups pitched their ideas on their short films to the rest of the groups, asking each other questions to prepare for their shoots. 🗣️

Continuing yesterday’s masterclass, today we are so delighted to have David Yanez aka Gwai Lou masterclass on his filmmaking techniques as a director and cinematographer.

Focusing on the mindsets and attitudes on and off sets by sharing his experiences as a filmmaker.

Day 3 of Art Beats Workshop with SunU Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and School of Arts - Lancaster University students!!!

Another day of amazing workshops held by Maryam Ghorbankarimi involving our student groups creating a short one-shot films in less than a hour - focusing on the aspects of contrast!!

Wonderful one-shot films were produced by our talented students - inspiring them as they continue to prepare for their short films!

Today also includes Maryam Ghorbankarimi brilliant masterclass in editing - sharing her experience as an editor and tips and tricks showing films across genre and time.

Day 2 of the Art Beats Festival Workshops with SunU Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences and School of Arts - Lancaster University students!!

In preparation for the short films, our students had workshops held by David Yanez / Gwai Lou Gwai Lou in topics of themes and cinematic contrasts. Forming in small groups for some more ice-breaking and idea-developing exercises!
