artment of Science Engineering, Department of Process and Environmental Engineering, Department of Plantation Engineering, Department of Power and Machinery Engineering. In the same year, the Department of Science Engineering has been divided to three new departments ; Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Department of Electrical/Computer engineering, Department of Mechanical/ Systems Engineering. In 1996, six departments has been improved to eight departments. To date, the Faculty has eight exciting departments ; Department of Aerospace Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic, Department of Chemical and Environmental engineering, Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Department of Process and Food Engineering, offering eight Bachelor programs and 34 postgraduate programs.

Outstanding Achievement at RIPC 2026!

The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (KMP), Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) extends warm congratulations to student Mrs. Zaimah Hasan, together with the supervisory committee, Prof. Ir. Dr. Khairol Ariffin Mohd Anuar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Idris Shah Ismail, and Dr. Khairil Anas Md Rezali, for receiving the Diamond Award (PhD Category) at the Research & Innovation Poster Competition (RIPC 2026) organized by MNNF Network.

The project titled “Optimizing Bimodal Inconel 718 Cold Spray through Mechanistic Modeling of Preheating and Tamping Synergies” was recognized in the competition, reflecting the department’s ongoing commitment to research and innovation.

RIPC 2026 is an academic competition that gathers PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Diploma students from various institutions to present their research projects and encourage a culture of research and innovation.

Congratulations once again to Mrs. Zaimah Hasan and the supervisory committee for this achievement. May this success motivate all members of KMP to continue contributing actively in the field of research and innovation.

SESI LIBAT URUS STRATEGIK PENGERUSI LPU UPM BERSAMA PENGURUSAN FAKULTI KEJURUTERAAN.

SERDANG, 20 Ogos 2026 – Fakulti Kejuruteraan, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) telah menerima kunjungan rasmi YBhg. Dato’ Sri Jailani Johari, Pengerusi Lembaga Pengarah Universiti (LPU) UPM, dalam Sesi Libat Urus Strategik bersama pengurusan fakulti.

Sesi ini menjadi platform untuk memperkukuh hubungan strategik serta membincangkan hala tuju fakulti merangkumi kecemerlangan akademik, penyelidikan dan inovasi, kerjasama industri, pembangunan bakat, kebolehpasaran graduan serta penjanaan pendapatan.

Delegasi LPU turut berkesempatan melawat Makmal Pencirian Bahan (MCL) yang baru memperoleh pensijilan ISO/IEC 17025 serta Makmal Kolaborasi UPM-NXP yang memfokuskan kepada teknologi semikonduktor, sistem terbenam dan Internet of Things (IoT).

Kunjungan ini mencerminkan komitmen berterusan dalam memperkukuh sinergi, inovasi dan kecemerlangan Fakulti Kejuruteraan UPM selaras dengan aspirasi UPM sebagai universiti bereputasi global.

Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan diucapkan kepada YBhg. Dato’ Sri Jailani Johari dan ahli-ahli LPU atas kesudian meluangkan masa serta berkongsi pandangan strategik bersama pihak fakulti.
