📣 BLORD FIRES BACK AT SCAM CLAIMS OVER TAX-RELATED APP 🇳🇬

Well-known entrepreneur and crypto figure Blord (Linus Williams) has responded to increasing claims that his newly launched app created to help Nigerians adapt to the 2026 tax reforms is fraudulent.

The backlash began after he introduced a platform that reportedly enables crypto transactions without BVN or NIN and supports large transfers, raising concerns amid the new tax laws. Critics allege the app promotes tax evasion and misleads users with unrealistic assurances.

🔹 Blord’s strong response:

Blord dared anyone who believes they were scammed by him or his app to step forward. He even promised a ₦500,000 reward to anyone who can provide proof at any of his offices across the country. According to him, solid evidence will be rewarded.

🗣️ His reaction has fueled mixed opinions online supporters insist he’s being wrongly accused, while others remain doubtful, citing past issues and questioning the app’s credibility and security.

💬 What’s your view? Is Blord’s app a legitimate solution for Nigerians facing new tax rules, or are there warning signs to be concerned about? Share your thoughts below! 🇳🇬👇

A man will sl€€p with different women, and everybody in the neighborhood will know, but nobody will judg€ him when he wants to get married.

They will even say, “Thank God he is getting married. At least he will settle down.”

But when it is a woman sl€€ping with different men, people will judg€ her and even say she is not w0rthy to get married. No man should marry her.

You see the double standard?

So men are praised for getting married so they can stop moving around, but a woman who has been sl€€ping around is hindered from getting married.

This is not me supporting such behavior. This is a call for accountability.

If we don’t start judg!ng men for their behavior, we will keep having the same problem. W€ak men everywhere.

Even in marriage, when a man ch€ats, everybody will say the woman should forgive.

But when it is the woman that ch€ats, she becomes the b@d person and should leave the house.

Why is the judgm€nt different when it comes to women?

These things I just mentioned are the reason many men don’t change.

They feel they can do anything and still find their way around it.

The same judgm€nt given to women should be given to men, and we will have a better society.

I have even heard some men say, “I am a man, and I have the right to ch€at, but my wife cannot dare.”

That is the w0rst mentality, and society is encouraging it by allowing men to get away with it.

It is better we start holding men accountable so we can have more responsible brothers, fathers, and husbands.

What is bad for a woman is bad for a man.

Help me this message to get to as many men as possible.

Las las, we go dey alright.

Dangote refinery slashes petrol price to N699 per litre

December 12, 2025 11:46 am

ethe dangote petroleum Refinery has again reduced its petrol gantry price, slashing the ex-depot rate from N828 to N699 per litre.

Real-time market data published on Petroleumprice.ng on Friday showed that the refinery implemented another major downward review, cutting the Premium Motor Spirit benchmark price by N129 per litre — a 15.58 per cent reduction.

An official of the refinery, who spoke to PUNCH Online on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to comment publicly, also confirmed the adjustment.

He said, “The refinery has reduced petrol gantry price to N699 per litre.”

The new price took effect on December 11, 2025, marking the 20th petrol price adjustment announced by the refinery this year.

The latest reduction comes barely five days after the refinery’s Chairman, Aliko Dangote, restated his commitment to keeping domestic fuel prices “reasonable and competitive” despite global volatility and persistent smuggling along Nigeria’s borders.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu on December 6, Dangote said prices would continue to fall as the refinery ramps up output and competes directly with imported products.

Dangote said, “Prices are going down. The reason why prices have to go down is that we have to also compete with imports.

In 1929, the Aba Women in Nigeria's southeastern region made history with their courageous stand against colonial oppression. The Aba Women's Riot, as it came to be known, proved the power of collective action and the unyielding spirit of women fighting for their rights.

Imagine being part of a community where your voice is silenced, your believes are disrespected, and your livelihood is threatened. This was the reality faced by the Aba Women, who rose up against the British colonial authorities' imposition of taxes, forced labor, and disregard for their cultural practices.

Their protest was met with violence, but the women refused to back down. Instead, they used their collective strength to challenge the status quo and demand change. Their bravery inspired a nation and left an indelible mark on history.

The Power of Collective Action

The Aba Women's Riot serves as a powerful reminder that even in the face of adversity, collective action can lead to transformative change. When individuals come together, united by a common purpose, they can challenge unjust systems and create a better future.

Your Voice Matters

Just like the Aba Women, you have a voice that deserves to be heard. Whether it's speaking out against injustice, advocating for a cause you care about, or simply sharing your thoughts and experiences, your voice has the power to inspire and create positive change.

Your smallest actions can have a profound impact when combined with the efforts of others. So, what will you do today to make your voice heard and create a better tomorrow?

What cause are you passionate about, and how do you think this can lead to positive change?

Born in Ngwa, in present-day Abia State, Nwanyeruwa was an ordinary Igbo woman whose single act of resistance changed the course of Nigerian history.

In November 1929, the British colonial government had begun enforcing direct taxation across southeastern Nigeria. To prepare, they sent out
"warrant chiefs" and their census officers to count people, livestock, and properties — a method alien to Igbo tradition.

One morning, a census officer named Mark Emereuwa arrived at Nwanyeruwa's compound in Oloko village to count her household. He demanded that she "number her people," implying that she would soon be taxed.
Insulted and angered, Nwanyeruwa replied in Igbo:
"Was your own mother counted?"

That bold question sparked a wildfire. Nwanyeruwa immediately went to the village square and called the women together. Word spread quickly across the towns of Aba, Owerri, Umuahia, and Opobo.
Thousands of women left their homes, beating their traditional wooden gongs, singing, and protesting against the unfair taxation and the corruption of the warrant chiefs.

This uprising became known as the Aba Women's War of 1929 (Ogu Umunwaanyi) — the first major women-led rebellion in Africa against colonial authority.

This uprising became known as the Aba Women's War of 1929 (Ogu Umunwaanyi) — the first major women-led rebellion in Africa against colonial authority.
More than 10,000 women marched, demonstrating unity, intelligence, and courage that shook the British government to its core.

In the aftermath, several women were killed by colonial troops, but the event forced the British to rethink their system of indirect rule, dismiss corrupt warrant chiefs, and abandon plans to tax women.
Nwanyeruwa's action was not just a protest — it was a revolution born from motherhood, dignity, and Igbo womanhood.

Her name lives on as a reminder that even the smallest voice can awaken a nation.
