Ladela Schools

Ladela Schools A School full of warmth and community love. Every child is catered to. Our difference is in how we teach. Our student body is primarily African.

Ladela Schools is situated in Wuse 2 which is a town in Abuja Municipal Area Council. Wuse is a district that houses both the middle class and upper class. It has many private schools and about two government owned schools. Ladela Secondary School was founded on 13th September, 2004. It operates both junior and senior secondary schools. In 2013, the nursery and primary sections commenced operation

s. It graduated its first set in July, 2007. Ladela Schools was accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education through its Department for Policy Implementation. The school is a member of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools and Association of Private Educators of Nigeria – the two major bodies championing the affairs of private nursery, primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. CURRICULUM
We teach the Nigerian Curriculum, bearing in mind that most of our students graduate into foreign universities. The curriculum is prepared to equip students for SAT, TOEFL, IGCSE, etc. There are eight periods per week. At the junior level, a student is expected to attend forty lessons, but in the senior school, students will likely be made to attend about thirty five lessons. This is because there are fewer subjects; students specialize based on future course of study in higher education. At the end of Junior Secondary School, students are enrolled for two Basic Education Certificate Examinations organized by National Examination Commission and Education Resource Centre respectively. All graduating students from the senior school will have written the West African Senior School Certificate Examination and National Examination Commission Senior School Certificate Examination.

Adulthood becomes easier when you’ve already learned how to live it.

Here are a few essential life skills every teen should build before stepping into adulthood:

1. Budgeting - to manage money wisely and avoid future debt

2. Cooking - a basic life skill that builds independence

3. Time management - to balance responsibilities without unnecessary stress

4. Communication - for healthy relationships and conflict resolution

5. Self-care & chores - to build discipline and order at home

Start building these skills at home today. Small lessons now can shape a confident, capable future adult.

This Day of the African Child, we celebrate the strength and rights of the African Child.

Clean water, proper sanitation and good hygiene are rights every child deserves.

Yet for millions of children across Africa, these basics remain out of reach. A child without clean water cannot stay healthy, learn and may never reach their full potential.

Let's work together for a healthier, brighter future for every African child.

"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." – William Butler Yeats

True education isn't about memorizing facts, it's about sparking curiosity, creativity and building a lifelong love for learning.

This week, let's focus on lighting that fire, in our children, ourselves, and in everything we do.

Here's to a week of growth!

Homework doesn't have to feel overwhelming.

Start with the most challenging task first, break work into smaller steps, and take short focus breaks in between.

With the right approach and a little patience, children build confidence, and better learning habits over time
