A Legacy in the Making — Support the AAUA Alumni Hostel Project
A Heartfelt Call from Your Friend, Ogunade Oluwakayode (Kdivine)

Dear Esteemed Alumni, Stakeholders, Friends, and Students of AAUA,

I am Ogunade Adebola Oluwakayode (Kdivine), who proudly served as the President of AAUASU in the 2014/2015 academic session. With deep humility and a heart full of hope, I write to you, not just as a former leader, but as a brother, a friend, and a believer in the greatness of our shared heritage.

Today, I call on your kindness and your legacy spirit to support the AAUA Alumni Hostel Project, a bold step towards solving the critical accommodation challenges facing our students. This project isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about giving dignity, security, and comfort to those who walk the same path we once walked.

Thank you for always standing by me. Let’s rise for AAUA once again.

AAUA Alumnus and Nigerian track queen, Omolara Ogunmakinju (Formerly Omotosho Omolara) singlehandedly turned Silver to GOLD for Nigeria🇳🇬 in mixed 4x400m relay, running down her Botswana opponent to get Nigeria over the line. She made up a 15-metre deficit and swung past the Botswana 🇧🇼 anchor with just 30 meters to go!

The Akure-born 400m specialist took a break from Track to start her family, giving birth to two children before returning to Athletics. Got a full funding scholarship to further her Athletic journey and studies in the United States of America🇺🇸 early this year..... Now she is back winning GOLD medals for her country 🇳🇬.

She just did what she knows how to do best right from her undergraduate days at the Department of Human Kinetics at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State Nigeria.

My frequent visit to the beautiful Elizade University opened my eyes to the outstanding opportunities and advantages private-owned institutions have over public and state-owned institutions. It's true about the disappearing state of public institutions across the nation due to insufficient funds and low student subscriptions due to poor infrastructure and other global courses of study, despite the quality of world-renowned scholars at their disposal.

Public institutions have somewhat been relegated to the training ground of scholars for private and foreign institutions, where "courses that are not competing at the global markets are offered and taught using the 1990 methods of lecturing. Who is to be blamed? Maybe you can help out!

If public institutions must return to the glorious days of the Great Ife, UI (Premier University), UNN, ABU, Zaria, UNILAG, and UNIMAID, where giants are made, they will need all the outside help (most importantly within the country) they can get to survive and thrive; this includes partnering with private institutions in Nigeria such as ABUAD, RUN, Convenant, Al Qalam University, and Babcock, among others, rather than partnering with foreign universities whose presence is not mostly felt in our public institutions.
