A Professor once said....the course you study is not as important as the CGPA you finished with.

A First class graduate in Sociology will have more opportunities than a Pass graduate in Computer Science.

Having a first class result gives people an idea of your intelligence, diligence and excellence.

Do you agree with this???

Watch This Student Who Made N3 Million Online In 3 Months.

While so many students depend on parents, uncles and aunties to go through the university education, some students depend solely on scholarships to be educated.

However, Ruth Ozioma, a 200 Level student has changed the narrative by engaging in a legitimate online business that generated over 3 Million Naira for her in just 3 months.

According to Ruth, this is the simplest business any smart student can do as it does not require much time per day and it is done from any andriod phone with internet access.

The online business is a business model where you earn a piece of commission ( between 30% to 80%) for recommending high value digital products to people using your WhatsApp and Facebook account.

The FUTA Made Global Tech Whizz-kid
- The Story of Joel Ogunsola

"It’s been 15 months since I left the thrills and trails of being a public servant to return to the seeming tranquility and solitude of working within private enterprise & social enterprise organizations ( & ).

Having been fortunate to have been appointed at a young age by His Excellency Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) the Executive Governor of Ondo State to lead innovation and strategic partnerships, there could have been no better 25th Birthday gift from my friend Babajide Akeredolu than getting a ticket to a front row seat to be able to see and learn about diplomacy, government relations and most importantly due process in governance.

Supported by my good friend Ademulegun Olowojoba who hails from Ondo State, also a FUTA alum ( ) and a leader in the Human Capital Developement space, we set out to create magic bringing to bear a lot of the earlier experience we had on our first rodeo to Edo State working with the agency; we put together a kick ass team (all of whom today are on amazing career pathways), with whom we landed some amazing wins, most significant of which was our partnership with GIZ led at the time by our super auntie Mrs Olayinka Adekunle to drive career development, jobs and entrepreneurship in Ondo State - a partnership that continues to bear fruits and positive gains for Ondo Stage till date - even at a larger scale!

I have finally settled into a rhythm of continuing my work to deepen sustainable development through the provision of skills and economic opportunities for youths in underserved communities globally through led by Oladiwura Oladepo; creating technology ecosystems in underserved communities through led by Peace Odili and strengthening public health system resilience through led by Dr. Adeola Onasanya - all social enterprises I have worked with friends and partners to found/co-found over the last 6/7 years.

At I work to continue to drive the use of technology to solve the worlds greatest problems alongside super star colleagues with focus on the private enterprise commercial, social enterprise and public sectors.

When not working I spend time playing golf, traveling, seeking out amazing artists & their unique creations, reading, contributing to policy and ecosystem discuss, investing in building economic prosperity in underserved communities across the globe and experimenting with new ventures and ideas - a lot of which I will be sharing more about as they take shape 😊😊😊"

- Joel Ogunsola graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2013

How To Score An 'A' in Any FUTA Examinations

1. Attend classes regularly and punctually. Emergency tests do occur. Your CA makes 30 - 40% of your total score you know.
2. Study your lecturers the same way you study your courses because their exams are reflections of their personalities. Some like long stories in their answers while others like to be clear and concise. Don't answer prof. A questions the way you answer Dr B.
3. Look up past questions till four preceding academic sessions, some question are usually repeated, not because the lecturers are lazy but because such questions test your understanding of the course.
4. Study well so bad lecturers do not 'shock' you.
5. You need prayers too to avoid missing scripts and get direction in your reading
6. Respect your lecturers. They like it and they will like you for it.
Do you think there is something missing? Write it in the comment section.
